[New Delhi]Haryanavi Cheat Manjeet Sangwan Arrested In Delhi
Crime Branch has arrested a notorious cheat Manjeet Sangwan (51 yrs)
Accused was wanted in a case of cheating of PS EOW (Delhi) since 2011 and he has been declared proclaimed offender He has also been declared proclaimed offender in another case of cheating & Copyright Act of PS Uttam Nagar, Delhi.
During interrogation, accused Manjeet Sangwan disclosed that he was born at his village in 1965 and his father was martyred in the war of 1965.
He studied upto 10th class.
Thereafter, he joined Delhi Police as a Constable (Driver)in 1989 but he left his services from Delhi Police in 1996 In 2008, he started a business of ready made garments and made his own brand in the name of Criston DiorShoppe. He opened various new outlets of his brand in several cities.
In 2010, a French company got registered a case of cheating and Copyright Act against him at PS Uttam Nagar, Delhi. He was arrested in the said case. After coming out of jail, he was elected Sarpanch of his village. In 2013, he was declared proclaimed offender in thiscase by the concerned court for evading court proceedings.
In the same year he & his partner namely Virender Suyal induced severalinvestors to invest in his brand and he cheated these investors to the tune ofcrores. Thus a case vide FIR No.211/11 u/s 420/34 IPC was registered at PS EOWagainst him and his partner. However, he kept on evading his arrest.Thereafter, he was also declared proclaimed offender in this case by theconcerned court on 07.08.2014.
