[Chd,Pb] Punjab’s CM Assures of Probe into Spurious Pesticides
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today promised a thorough probe into the sale and supply of spurious pesticides and herbicides to farmers, warning of strict action against those found guilty.
CM was responding to the issue raised by Akali MLA Bikram Singh Majithia during the Zero Hour in the State Assembly
Notably, Amarinder Singh also pointed out that such instances of sub-standard pesticides had been in existence for the past 40-50 years due to which the crop disease of ‘gulli-danda’ had not been eliminated.
