Dr Manmohan Singh was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences  on Wednesday evening after he complained of weakness following a fever.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday wished his predecessor Dr Manmohan Singh, a speedy recovery.

Modi tweeted, “I pray for the good health and speedy recovery of Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji.” 
Earlier, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya visited the former prime minister and enquired about his health from the doctors treating him.

(New Delhi)Dr Harshvardhan Assured Corona Patients Best Possible Care Health Minister Dr Harshvardhan todayvisited the patient ward of the Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre (JPNATC) of AIIMS, New Delhi (Dedicated COVID Hospital) and interacted with many patients under treatment. He assured them of the best possible care.
Dr Harsh Vardhan also interacted with the media afterwards and used the occasion to remind people of the many virtues of COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB): “Our biggest fight this time is to teach COVID appropriate behaviour to the people. People have adopted a casual approach which is very dangerous. COVID Appropriate behaviour is the biggest social tool we have to break the chain.” In order to encourage the public from following CAB in the quest for a COVID free environment, he put out statistics that demonstrate the diligence of the general public along with the hard-work of healthcare and frontline workers: “India has 52 districts with no fresh cases in 7 days, 34 districts with no fresh cases in 14 days, 4 districts with no fresh cases in 21 days and 44 districts with no fresh cases in 28 days.” He also detailed steps taken by the Union government to stop black marketing of drugs like Remdesivir and Itolizumab.
Dr Randeep Guleria, Director AIIMS and other senior doctors accompanied the Union Minister during the comprehensive review visit.

(नई दिल्ली) डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने विश्राम सदन, एम्‍स, नई दिल्‍ली में रह रहे निराश्रित लोगों में कंबल, मास्‍क और साबुन वितरित किए
केन्‍द्रीय स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य एवं परिवार कल्‍याण मंत्री डॉ. हर्षवर्धन के साथ रेडक्रॉस सोसायटी के महासचिव आर.के.जैन, एम्‍स के निदेशक प्रोफेसर आर.गुलेरिया और एम्‍स के अन्‍य वरिष्‍ठ अधिकारी भी इस अवसर पर मौजूद थे।
डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने इस बात का स्‍मरण किया कि आईआरसीएस वर्ष 1920 से ही जरूरतमंद लोगों की मदद करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। इसका मानवीय प्रयासों का एक समृद्ध इतिहास रहा है। इसका कार्य केवल आपदाओं और आपातकालीन स्थितियों तक ही सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि यह संस्‍था अनेक सामाजिक विकास गतिविधियां भी नियमित रूप से चलाती है। रेडक्रॉस ने लॉकडाउन के दौरान सरकार के प्रयासों में योगदान दिया है और लॉकडाउन में फंसे लोगों की भी मदद की है। इसके अलावा इसने इस महामारी के दौरान रक्‍त की उपलब्‍धता भी सुनिश्चित की है।

एम्स में 5000 नर्सों ने हड़ताल खत्म की

(नयी दिल्ली) एम्स में नर्सों ने हड़ताल खत्म की
दिल्ली के एम्स में नर्सिंग यूनियन ने अस्पताल प्रशासन के साथ करीब दो घंटे तक चली बैठक के बाद मंगलवार रात अपनी हड़ताल खत्म कर दी।
अखिल भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान संस्थान (एम्स) की करीब 5,000 नर्स छठे केन्द्रीय वित्त आयोग से संबंधित मांगों समेत विभिन्न मांगों को लेकर सोमवार को हड़ताल पर चले गए थे।
एम्स के निदेश डॉक्टर रणदीप गुलेरिया के अनुसार’उन्होंने (नर्सों) अपनी हड़ताल खत्म कर काम शुरू कर दिया है।’

[New Delhi] Ailing Atal Bihari Vajpayee Put On Life Support System in AIIMS
Condition of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee remains critical and he continues on advanced life-support system,
93-year-old B J P leader was admitted at the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on June 11 with a kidney tract infection, urinary tract infection, low urine output and chest congestion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the AIIMS last evening and spent about 50 minutes there.
After Modi, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi also paid a visit.
Vajpayee, a diabetic, has only one functional kidney. He had suffered a stroke in 2009 that weakened his cognitive abilities. Subsequently, he developed dementia.

Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who has been ailing for long, was today admitted to AIIMS for routine check-up
The 93-year-old leader will be under the supervision of AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria
The BJP stalwart ruled India as prime minister between 1998-2004. As his health deteriorated, he slowly withdrew from public life and has been confined to his residence for many years.

Smt Sushma Swaraj undergoing tests for kidney transplant
External Affairs Minister Smt Sushma Swaraj today said she was undergoing tests at AIIMS here for a kidney transplant.
64-year-old Swaraj, who has been in and out of the hospital for last few months, said she was undergoing treatment for kidney failure.
She tweeted.”Friends: This is to update you on my health. I am in AIIMS because of kidney failure. Presently, I am on dialysis.I am undergoing tests for a kidney transplant. Lord Krishna will bless,”
She was admitted to AIIMS on November 7 and is being monitored by a team of doctors.
The External Affairs Minister was admitted to AIIMS in April also when she underwent treatment for pneumonia and other health issues
