Indian Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju said today that “Airlines are like a horse. We can take them to the water but can’t force them to drink,” Raju said even though adequate infrastructure is in place, airlines are not flying to many airports
He said in Lok Sabha replying to demands for regular air connectivity to Mysore and some other places.
He said ,Airlines are reluctant to fly to many airports despite providing adequate infrastructure there, even as 32 airports have remained non-functional,

There are 32 airports, under the Airports Authority of India, which are non-functional.
“Our constant effort is to increase the number of airports and regional connectivity,” he said during Question Hour.
Replying another question, the Minister said Civil Aviation Ministry has granted in-principle approval to 15 new airports including Mopa in Goa,
Navi Mumbai, Shirdi and Sindhudurg in Maharashtra,
Bijapur, Gulbarga, Hasan and Shimoga in Karnataka,
Kannur in Kerala,
Durgapur in West Bengal,
Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh and
Pakyong in Sikkim.

[New Delhi]Loss Making National Carrier To Receive a Boon Of Rs 1713 Crore
Air India to receive Rs 1,713 crore The Govt Run airline is surviving on a Rs 30,231 crore bailout package extended by the previous UPA government in 2012 for a period of up to March 31, 2021.
,National carrier Air India, which is expected to slash its net losses by around 40 % this fiscal, will receive Rs 1,713 crore government funding for the next fiscal.
In the Union Budget for the 2016-17 financial year, presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Lok Sabha today, the Government-run carrier has been allocated Rs 1,713 crore as part of the Rs 30,0231 crore financial bailout package.
The total outlay for the Civil Aviation Ministry stands at Rs 4,417 crore for the fiscal 2016-17.
Organisation such as Airports Authority of India, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Pawan Hans Ltd, Bureau of Civil Aviation, among others, come under the Civil Aviation Ministry.
Significantly, Air India had earlier this year sought Rs 4,300 crore worth funds from the government for the financial year, starting A[pril 1, 2016 amid its turnaround plan and stiff competition.

Under the Turnaround Plan (TAP), which runs till March 2021, it has already received Rs 22,280 crore including Rs 3,300 crore in the ongoing fiscal.
Minister of State for Civil Aviation Dr Mahesh Sharma had last week said that Air India losses were expected to come down by 40 per cent to Rs 3,529.80 crore by March this year.
The airline had in the financial year ended March 31, 2015, reported a net loss of Rs 5,859.91 crore.
However, its debt burden stood at Rs 51,367.07 crore, including Rs 22,574.09 crore outstanding on account of aircraft loans, in the previous financial year.

Spicejet Plane Hit Stray Buffalo At Surat Airport:Inquiry Ordered

[New Delhi]Ministry Of Civil Aviation Ordered Inquiry into Spice jet Flight Hitting Buffalo At Surat Airport
A Delhi-bound Spicejet plane hit a stray buffalo on the runway while rolling for take-off from Surat airport late last night, providing anxious moments to the 146 people on board.
On November 6, at 19.06 hours the SpiceJet Flight SG-622 (Boeing 737-800 aircraft) hit an Buffalo during the take-off run. Timely action by the pilot of the aircraft averted a mishap and the aircraft was brought back to the apron for checks. Another aircraft was called from Mumbai and passengers were sent to Delhi around 2300 hrs.
Damaged Plane is grounded after the incident.An FIR has been lodged in the incident.
All passengers and crew Are Reported safe.
The Minister of Civil Aviation, Shri Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati has directed that an inquiry should be conducted by Airports Authority of India (AAI) to ensure that incidents like the one at Surat airport should not recur at any other airport.
DGCA-LogoEarlier, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) ordered an inquiry into the incident and a team from DGCA Regional Headquarters, Mumbai is to visit Surat airport today.
This type of breach Of Airport by animals from surrounding villages have been reported earlier also. There are fish ponds just adjacent to the boundary wall at Surat Airport which attract birds around the airport, causing safety hazards. These concerns have been raised by APD with State Government authorities and local administration. The Secretary, Civil Aviation has also spoken to Chief Secretary, Gujarat on this issue.

हवाई जहाज से सफर करने वाले यात्रियों की समस्यायों को दूर करने के लिए नागरि‍क उड्डयन मंत्रालय द्वारा कुछ मसलों की पहचान कर ली गई है | इन समस्यायों को दूर करने का अब बीड़ा उठाया गया है|
भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी द्वारा की गई पहल के अनुरूप नागरि‍क उड्डयन मंत्रालय ने यात्रि‍यों से संबंधि‍त कुछ बड़े मसलों की पहचान की है और उसे पूर्ण करने का बीड़ा उठाया है।
नागरिकुडडयां मंत्रालय द्वारा बताया गया है के इससे यात्रि‍यों को बेहतर सुवि‍धा मि‍लेगी और लोगों के अनुरूप तंत्र बन सकेगा।
इन पहल में शामि‍ल है:
1]सभी भारतीय और वि‍देशी एयरलाइनों तथा एयरपोर्ट ऑपरेटरों से कहा गया है कि‍ वे खासकर वरि‍ष्‍ठ नागरि‍कों गर्भवती महि‍लाओं और अशक्‍त यात्रि‍यों की सुवि‍धा के लि‍ए वि‍शेष सुवि‍धाएं जैसे ऑटोमेटि‍क गाड़ि‍यों और छोटे हैंड बैगेज टॉली की व्‍यवस्‍था करे। इसके लि‍ए कोई शुल्‍क नहीं लि‍या जाय।
2]देश के सभी ऑपरेशनल हवाई अड्डों पर सीआईएसएफ/ सुरक्षा हेल्‍पडेस्‍क बनाने का नि‍र्णय लि‍या गया है।
3]एयर इंडि‍या को कहा गया है कि‍ वह इंटरनेट से कराए जाने वाली बुकिंग की प्रक्रि‍या सरल करें और रि‍फंड और खो गए बैगेज के दामों का तेजी से समाधान हो सके।
4]श्री अमरनाथ जी यात्रा के लि‍ए हेलीकॉप्‍टर सेवा प्रदान करने वाले से कहा गया है कि‍ वह श्रद्धालुओं के लि‍ए हेलीपेड पर कुछ बुनि‍यादी सुवि‍धा जैसे पीने का पानी, चाय कॉफी और मूंगफली और सूखे मैवे जैसे स्‍नैक्‍स की व्‍यवस्‍था नि‍:शुल्‍क करे। यह यात्रा 28 जून से शुरू हो गई है।
5]डीजीसीए हर शुक्रवार को दोपहर बाद 2:00 बजे से 5:00 बजे तक जन्‍म मि‍त्र दि‍वस का अयोजन करेगा, जि‍समें कोई भी व्‍यक्‍ति‍ बि‍ना पूर्वानुमति‍ के डीजीसीए के अधि‍कारि‍यों से मि‍ल सकेंगे।
[६]डी जी सी ऐ को “अपने अधिकार पहचानो” नमक पोर्टल शुरू करने के निर्देश जारी किये गए हैं|
इसके अलावा भी कुछ व्‍यवस्‍था की गई है जो कि‍ भारतीय वि‍मानपत्‍तन प्राधि‍करण और महानि‍देशक नागरि‍क उड्डयन (डीजीसीए) से संबंधि‍त है।

Premier Jet Airways Is Eclipsed with a default notice by one of its U S Based lessors

Private Premier Air Line Jet Airways has been Eclipsed with a default notice by one of its U S Based lessors International Lease Finance Corp [ ILFC] for non-payment of rentals. Naresh Goyal Is a promoter of Jet Airways.
The Details of default amount could not be ascertained.
As Per P T I Jet has been served a notice by ILFC for non-payment of rentals of its about six Boeing 737s.It May also be added that Jet Airways is also listed by Ministry of Civil Aviation ,for the similar cause .
In March K C Venugopal, Minister of State in the Ministry of Civil Aviation informed Lok Sabha that .Jet Airways has a due of Rs 82.17 crore while its subsidiary Jet Lite has Rs. 27.62 crores.
It Was admitted by the minister that Private airlines, including those who have closed down, have a due of Rs. 526 crore towards the state-owned Airports Authority of India (AAI) till December last year.
