 2022-23 से 2025-26 के लिए 4,800 करोड़ रुपये
 के परिव्यय के साथ केंद्र प्रायोजित ''वाइब्रेंट विलेज प्रोग्राम''
 को मंजूरी दे दी। केंद्रीय मंत्री अनुराग ठाकुर के अनुसार चार राज्यों और उत्तरी सीमाओं पर एक केंद्र शासित प्रदेश
 में बुनियादी ढांचे के विकास और आजीविका के अवसर पैदा होंगे। यह कार्यक्रम लोगों को सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में अपने मूल स्थानों
 पर रहने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करेगा, इस प्रकार सीमा की सुरक्षा
में सुधार होगा।

NPAs of PSBs Declined to ₹ 7.27 Lakh Crore

(New Delhi)NPAs of PSBs Stood @ ₹ 7.27 Lakh Crore
The government on Monday said the Non Performing Assets (NPAs) of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) stood at Rs 7.27 lakh crore as on September 30, 2019.
Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur also said in Lok Sabha that scheduled commercial banks and select financial institutions have reported frauds to the tune of Rs 1,13,374 crore in the first half of the current financial year.
Thakur said during Question Hour that as a result of transparent recognition of stressed assets as NPAs, gross NPAs of PSBs, as per RBI data on global operations, rose from Rs 2,79,016 crore as on March 31, 2015, to Rs 6,84,732 crore as on March 31, 2017 and Rs 8,95,601 crore as on March 31, 2018.
As a result of Government’s strategy of recognition, resolution, recapitalisation and reforms, have since declined by Rs 1,68,305 crore to Rs 7,27,296 crore as on September 30, 2019
The minister said systematic and comprehensive checking, including of legacy stock of NPAs of PSBs,for frauds under the framework has been taken note of by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in its Financial Stability Report of December 2019, where it has observed that this has helped unearth frauds perpetrated over a number of years.
This is reflected in the increased amount involved in frauds of Rs. 1 lakh and above, reported by Scheduled Commercial Banks and select financial institutions, from Rs 23,934 crore in the financial year (FY) 2016-17 to Rs 41,167 crore in FY2017-18, Rs 71,543 crore in FY2018-19, and Rs 1,13,374 crore in the first half of the current financial year

Visitors shared their views and suggestions regarding labour and employment issues. Discussions were held on providing social security to labour besides skilling, re-skilling and up-skilling of existing labour force. Quality of job creation and ensuring minimum wages of workers were also discussed in detail besides the issue of rehabilitation of workers who have lost their jobs.

The Supreme Court Friday quashed an FIR against BJP MP Anurag Thakur, former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and others in a case related to alleged irregularities in granting land on lease for construction of the Dharamshala cricket stadium.
Thakur, who is a BJP MP from Hamirpur and was then the HPCA president, had contended in the apex court that the case was actually a civil dispute
The FIR in the case was registered by the Dharamshala office of the Vigilance Bureau on August 1, 2013, months after the Congress government assumed power in December 2012.

Thakur, who resigned as the Secretary of the Board, got the signatures of all six east zone units in his BCCI presidential nomination form yesterday, paving the way for his unanimous choice as the 34th President of the august cricket body.
All the six east units – Cricket Association of Bengal, Assam CA, Tripura CA, NCC and Jharkhand SCA – had signed his nomination papers even though the rules required only one unit to nominate the name of the presidential candidate. It was the East zone’s turn this time.
Thakur, now, has the prerogative to pick his replacement for the Secretary’s position which is expected to happen today itself and Maharashtra Cricket Association chief and business magnate Ajay Shirke is all set to take that position.
The BJP MP from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh will be taking over the reins of the embattled Board in rather tough times as the BCCI is facing heat from the Supreme Court to implement the Justice R M Lodha Committee’s recommendations for sweeping reforms.
Thakur, incidentally, will go into the books as the first first-class cricketer to turn BCCI president after Raj Singh Dungarpur lay down office in 1998-99.
While Raj had played 86 first-class matches for Rajasthan and the then Madhya Bharat as a medium pacer and also claimed 206 wickets,
.Thakur is also the third person backed by East Zone to be elected to the top post during the 2014-1017 period.
Jagmohan Dalmiya, who was the consensus candidate after Srinivasan’s exit, died in office last year and Manohar took over in October, 2015.

The BCCI today denied the Delhi Government permission to felicitate World Cup winners (1983 and 2011) from the state, along with former captain Bishan Singh Bedi, inside the Feroz Shah Kotla’s field of play, saying that the planned ceremony would have violated norms.
The ground is currently hosting the fourth Test between India and South Africa and the BCCI said as per rules, a ceremony like this could not have been allowed in the field of play in the middle of a game.
Although the state government was free to use any other part of the ground, it refused to go ahead after being denied the access to field of play.
The Delhi government had intimated DDCA that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be felicitating 10 stalwarts from the state. The list of players to be felicitated included the names of Bishan Singh Bedi+ Mohinder Amarnath+Madan Lal+Virender Sehwag+Gautam Gambhir
among others but the felicitation would have violated BCCI norms.
The BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur sent an email that it would not allow any felicitation to be held in the playing arena during the course of the Test match.
