P M Narendra Modi celebrates Diwali with jawans, people, near India-China border in Himachal Pradesh
The Prime Minister Of India Narendra Modi, today visited Sumdo near the India-China border, in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, to celebrate Diwali with the jawans.
He interacted with jawans from the ITBP and the Indian Army, and offered sweets to them.
Addressing the jawans, he said he had been visiting armed forces personnel every year on Diwali since 2001.
He mentioned the tremendous response from people across the country, to his appeal for sending messages to soldiers as part of the #Sandesh2Soldiers campaign.
The Prime Minister said that giving One Rank One Pension @Rs 10 K Crores to ex-servicemen was a promise that he had made, and he was happy that he had been able to fulfil it.
The Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Dalbir Singh, was present on the occasion.
While returning from Sumdo, the Prime Minister halted briefly at a nearby village – Chango. He exchanged Diwali greetings, interacted with the people there, and offered sweets to children.

Veer Senani Rally,at Jhajjhar To Provide Four”S”To Army’s Retired fraternity To Provide Four S To Ex Service men, A Veer Senani Rally ,was organised at Jhajjhar Today
The Rally was aimed to achieve the motto of providing SAMMAN+SEHAT+SAHULIYAT+ SAHAYATA to Veterans and Veer Naris.
The rally ,at New Police Lines, .attracted more than 17000 Veterans from Districts Rothak+Jhajjar+Jind+Bhiwani+Hisar+Rewari+ Fetehabad+Sirsa+Mahendergarh.
Gen Dalbir Singh, Chief of Army Staff+Mr Depinder Singh, Chief Secretary Haryana and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion to interact with the Ex Servicemen.
A dedicated effort of one year had preceded the Rally wherein army personnel visited each and every village and house within the nine districts to re-establish contact with retired army persons (Veterans) and Veer Naris.
A number of stalls were established to cater for various aspects of Ex Servicemen viz ECHS, CSD, Resettlement, Sainik Boards, Helpline, Record offices, etc
. A fully equipped Medical Camp was also organized as part of the rally from 12-14 Mar 2015.The medical camp had a extensive presence of various specialists to provide advice and medicines.
While addressing the Veterans at the Rally, Gen Dalbir Singh, Chief of the Army Staff expressed army’s solidarity with its retired fraternity and assured the gathering that the government and the Army are sensitive to their needs and would take every step to ensure that the Ex-Servicemen and their families are cared for and looked after well.
The Chief of Army Staff presented 39 Modified Auto-Scooters for a total amount of Rs 26,00,000/- and six Wheel-Chairs for a total of Rs 2,27,760/- to those soldiers who had become paraplegic or amputees during various military operations. Besides, a number of Veterans, Veer Naris and widows received benefits of various grants and aids under various schemes like Resettlement, Educational Scholarships, marriage grant to daughters and financial aid for a total amount of Rs 6,00,000/- . 150 shawls were presented to war widows and Veernaris, while 400 blankets were presented to the veterans and disabled soldiers , as a mark of respect and solidarity.

Indian Army is Commemorating the Centenary of the First World War from 10 Mar to 14 Mar 2015 in New Delhi in memory of the 1.5 million Indian Soldiers who fought in the war and over 74000 who made the supreme sacrifice.
10th March[Today] coincides with the Battle of Neuve Chapelle marking the British Offensive in Artois region of France in which the Garhwal Brigade & Meerut Division of the Indian Corps participated. The time period 2014 to 2018 is being commemorated as the Centenary of World War-1.
As part of the Commemorative Events, a wreath was laid at Amar Jawan Jyoti, India Gate by The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi +Raksha Mantri,+Rajya Raksha Mantri+Service Chiefs+ Defence Secretary and senior serving officers of the Regiments that took part in the War, also graced the occasion.
A Commemorative Exhibition is also being held at Manekshaw Centre from 10 to 14 Mar 2015.

Army’s Command Hospitals Of Pune+Lucknow Received Ist &2nd Best Hospital Trophies

[New Delhi]Command Hospitals Of Pune And Lucknow Declared Best Ist And 2nd Army Hospitals.
The Raksha Mantri’s Trophy and citation for the Best Service Hospital and 2nd Best Service Hospital in the Armed Forces Medical Services were presented by Defence Minister Shri Manohar Parrikar today.
The awards were received by Maj Gen T K Saha,
Commandant, Command Hospital (SC) Pune for Best and
Maj Gen A K Das, Commandant of Command Hospital (CC) Lucknow for the 2nd Best Service Hospital at a ceremony in the Defence Ministry, which was attended by the Chief of Army Staff+Defence Secretary and other important service and civilian dignitaries.
The Raksha Mantri’s Trophy was instituted in 1989 to create a healthy competition among the Command Hospitals of the Army and its equivalent Hospitals in the Navy and Air Force.

[New Delhi]On Diwali today,Prime Minister Narendra Modi Gave Tremendous Diwali Gifts To Soldiers On Impassable High Altitude Siachen. And ensured a Life of Dignity for Them.The Prime Minister later handed over a cheque for Rs. 5 lakh for the welfare of the jawans+ personally offered sweets to the jawans.
Indian P M spent some time with the soldiers posted on the heights of Siachen Glacier to send the message that all Indians stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them.

PM thanked to jawans saying that “You make it possible for 125 crore Indians to celebrate Diwali happily”.
“Your dreams and responsibilities are the responsibility of us all. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with you.”
The P M, Shri Modi, today made a surprise visit to Siachen. Addressing officers and jawans of the Indian Armed Forces at Siachen Base Camp at a height of over 12,000 feet, he praised their valour and courage, saying that 125 crore Indians could celebrate Diwali today, and go about their lives in comfort, because the jawans stood guard at the borders, prepared to make every sacrifice for the nation. the P M added that The nation is proud of all three wings of the armed forces, .
The Prime Minister said he had come unannounced, and the jawans may be surprised, but one does not need to announce arrival when coming to one`s own (family).
The Prime Minister said the jawans at Siachen worked in one of the remotest places in the world. It is a rare opportunity to be called upon to defend the country in such difficult conditions, he said.
Shri Narendra Modi said that he comes to Siachen as a representative of the family members of the jawans who are busy serving Mother India on the borders.
He said he is privileged that his first Diwali as Prime Minister will be spent partly with the jawans of Siachen, and partly with those affected by the floods in Srinagar.

He said the Indian Armed Forces were unique – because while they spelt trouble for the enemy on the battlefield, they spelt life for all the countrymen affected by disasters or natural calamities. He recalled the immense contribution made by the Armed Forces during the recent floods in Srinagar.
He also appreciated the fact that women too were now contributing to the Indian Armed Forces in a significant way.
Sharing the pain and anguish of those who lose their loved ones in these difficult conditions, PM said sometimes a body is found years later, and many still wait. He said one has to witness first-hand, the conditions at Siachen to appreciate the hardship that the jawans go through.
The Prime Minister assured the jawans that wherever they are, and serving or retired, the country stands shoulder to shoulder with them. He said their dreams and responsibilities are the entire country`s responsibility. He said he would do his utmost to ensure a life of dignity for them.
The Prime Minister said the promise of One Rank, One Pension had been fulfilled, and preparations were being made for a National War Memorial, that we could all be proud of. The Prime Minister wished the entire country “Happy Diwali” from the icy heights of Siachen, adding that as countrymen light diyas today, they should recall that the warmth of the earthen lamps has been fuelled by the sweat and toil of the jawans of the Indian Armed Forces. Let those jawans inspire the rest of the country to work towards achieving the dreams and aspirations of the common man, he added
P M wrote in the visitors` book, saying that the soldiers in uniform who guarded the nation`s frontiers in such difficult conditions were no less than `rishis` and sages. The Prime Minister was at Siachen Base Camp for over an hour.

[New Delhi]Indian Army’s Top Brass Reviews Operational Preparedness .
The Army Commander’s 4 Dayer Conference commenced today and will conclude on 16 Oct 14.
Conference is being chaired by C of A S, Gen Dalbir Singh.
Army Commanders of all Operational Commands+Strategic Forces Command+ Army Training Command + Principal Staff Officers from the Army Headquarters are in attendance.
This conference is the highest level Military Conference and is held bi-annually to discuss current internal and external strategic issues, review of operational preparedness of the Indian Army and aspects pertaining to military technology and force modernization.
As Per Col Rohan Anand, SM PRO (Army)This Conference Of Commanders will conclude with the Combined Commanders Conference on 17 Oct 14 which will be chaired by the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

अरुण जेटली ने देश में पहले और विश्व में पांचवें आईडीएस मुख्‍यालय भवन की आधारशिला रखी

रक्षा मंत्री ने आईडीएस मुख्‍यालय भवन की आधारशिला रखी|तीनो सेनाओं का एकीकृत यह देश का पहला और विश्व में पांचवां परिसर है|
रक्षा मंत्री श्री अरुण जेटली ने आज दिल्‍ली कैंट स्थित मेहरामनगर में एकीकृत रक्षा कर्मचारी (आईडीएस) मुख्‍यालय भवन परिसर के लिए आधारशिला रखी।
इस अवसर पर श्री जेटली ने देश की एकता और विवि‍धता की रक्षा करने में सशस्‍त्र बलों की कर्तव्‍यनिष्‍ठा के लिए बेहद सराहना की। उन्‍होंने कहा कि भविष्‍य के प्राय: सभी संचालन, चाहे वे देश के भीतर हों या बाहर, त्रिस्‍तरीय सेवा संचालन का रूप लेने जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि बल के मनमुताबिक इस्‍तेमाल तक पहुंच के लिए सेवाओं के बीच तालमेल कायम करना काफी महत्‍वपूर्ण है।
अपने स्‍वागत भाषण में सेना प्रमुख जनरल बिक्रम सिंह ने संक्षिप्‍त रूप से आईडीएस स्‍थापना के इतिहास और उसके आधार की चर्चा की। उन्‍होंने कहा कि कारगिल समीक्षा समिति रिपोर्ट और मंत्रियों के समूह के सुझाव के आधार पर एकीकृत रक्षा कर्मचारी की स्‍थापना भारत सरकार की ओर से अक्‍तूबर 2001 में की गई थी। एकीकृत रक्षा कर्मचारी के गठन का उदेद्श्‍य सीओएससी अध्‍यक्ष के लिए एक सचिवालय उपलब्‍ध कराना, रक्षा संकट प्रबंधन समूह (डीसीएमजी) के गठन को आसान बनाना, तीनों सेवाओं के लिए वित्‍तीय और बजटीय प्रस्‍तावों का समन्‍वय करना और रक्षा मंत्री के सामने प्रस्‍तावों का समन्वित सेट प्रस्‍तुत करना था।
प्रस्‍तावित आईडीएस परिसर का बहुमंजिला भवन दिल्‍ली कैंट के मेहरामनगर में एनएसजी मुख्‍यालय के निकट 10.57 एकड़ भूमि में बनकर तैयार होगा। इस परिसर में कार्यालय भवन, ऑफिसर मेस कम्‍पलेक्‍स, सिगनल इंटेलीजेंस निदेशालय, सेंटर फॉर ज्‍वाइंट वारफेयर स्‍टडीज, आईडीएस कैम्‍प मुख्‍यालय और खेल परिसर शामिल होंगे।
इस कार्यक्रम में अन्‍य लोगों के अलावा नौसेना प्रमुख एडमिरल आर.के.धोवन, वायु सेना प्रमुख एयर चीफ मार्शल अरूप राहा, रक्षा सचिव श्री आर.के. माथुर और सीआईएससी ले. जन. अनिल चैत ने भाग लिया।

सेवानिवृत्त सैनिकों और उनके परिजनों की शिकायतों का समाधान अब कंप्यूटर पर एक क्लिक से होगा

सेवानिवृत्त सैनिकों और उनके परिजनों की शिकायतों का समाधान अब कंप्यूटर पर एक क्लिक से होगा |
इसके लिए भारतीय सेना ने सेवानिवृत्त सैनिक शिकायत समाधान (एवीजीएच) पोर्टल [ Army Veterans Grievance Handling (AVGH) Portal ] जारी किया है सेना की इस पहल से सैनिक व उनके परिजनों की शिकायतें एक क्लिक पर संबंधित विभाग व एजेंसी के पास पहुंच सकेगी। इंटरनेट आधारित इस पोर्टल को नेशनल इंफोर्मेटिक्स सेंटर (एनआईसी) ने डिजाइन व विकसित किया है।
यह पोर्टल सेना की उन तमाम पहलों में से एक है, जिनके माध्यम से भारतीय सेना हाल के दिनों में अपने सेवानिवृत्त सैनिकों व वीर नारियों तक पहुंचने का प्रयास कर रही है। सेवानिवृत्त सैनिक विशेष यूजर आईडी और पासवर्ड के जरिए अपनी सुविधानुसार इस वेबसाइट पर क्लिक करके सेवानिवृत्त सैनिक व उनके परिवारों से जुड़ी सेना की विभिन्न योजनाओं, फायदों आदि की जानकारी ले सकते हैं।
अपने संदेश में बार-बार दोहराते हुए सेना प्रमुख जनरल बिक्रम सिंह ने कहा कि सेवानिवृत्त सैनिकों व वीर नारियों का कल्याण उनके लिए बेहद महत्वपूर्ण है और इस पोर्टल के जरिए इनसे बेहतर तरीके से हम संपर्क स्थापित कर सकेंगे साथ ही इनकी शिकायतों का समाधान भी बेहतर तरीके से निकाला जा सकेगा।
यह पोर्टल देशभर में सेना से संबंधित विभिन्न विभागों में सेवानिवृत्त सैनिकों की याचिकाओं की जानकारी व उनकी वर्तमान स्थिति के बारे में भी जानकारी देने में सक्षम होगा।
इस पोर्टल में एक स्वचालित जवाब व्यवस्था (ऑटोमेटेड रेस्पोंस फीचर) भी समाहित है, जो समय समय पर इन सेवानिवृत्त सैनिकों को उनकी शिकयतों व रुके हुए मामलों की वर्तमान स्थिति के बारे में ईमेल और मोबाइल पर संदेश भेजकर सूचित करेगा।
इस पोर्टल की सेवाएं www.indianarmyveterans.gov.in वेबसाइट के जरिए ली जा सकती हैं।
