South African National held at IGI Air port with drugs worth Rs 24 lakh
A 31-year-old South African woman was today held at the international airport for allegedly trying to smuggle out Rs 24 lakh worth narcotic drugs.
The incident occurred last night around 11.40 PM at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) when a CISF team spotted the woman exhibiting suspicious behaviour when she arrived at the airport terminal.
The woman, identified as Rachael Zulu, was about to board a flight to Johanesburg when she was intercepted.
Interestingly, Dy Commandant Of CISFHemendra Singh said, the woman was possessing two tickets– one for domestic flight to Mumbai and the other for Johanesburg via Abu Dhabi.
“Zulu showed the Mumbai ticket to gain entry into the terminal as she wanted to evade Customs and other intelligence agencies inside the airport. She planned to cross over to the international departure from inside the domestic flying area but was caught.
“She was chosen for a detailed inspection by security officials and when her baggage was scanned, 9 packets containing over 23.6 kilograms of narcotics were found,”

CISF has planned a series of demonstrations on self defence and close quarter unarmed combat skills at different metro stations to sensitize the women commuters and create a sense of confidence and fearlessness.
The series of demonstrations will start on 19th march at 1600 hrs at Kashmere Gate Metro Station where 16 CISF women commandos trained in advance self defence course will present a sequential demonstration on how to use self defence techniques in different situations when confronted with criminals or anti-social elements.

Two South African women were today arrested for allegedly smuggling out 25 kg of banned party drug — Pseudoephedrine — worth Rs one crore at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport)
The incident occurred at about 2:30 AM when CISF sleuths found actvities of two women — Margaret Sibongile Khumbane [Passport Number Ao4182076] and Marcia Thembeke Chowdhury[PPNoAo2902307] — after they arrived at the airport terminal[Gate No5-Termnal-5] for taking a flight [EY -211]to Johanesburg via Abu Dhabi. 25 kg Narcotics substance in the form of white powder was concealed in false ceiling of suitcase. NCB officials were called who confirmed confiscated item as Pseudo ephedrine
Before this CISF surveillance also apprehended Loader Vinod Paul who was tempering in check in baggage at IGI Airport

The Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh has congratulated the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on the occasion of its 46th Raising Day, .
The Home Minister has attended the function as Chief Guest and inspected the Guard of Honour.
While addressing, Shri Rajnath Singh said that the CISF is a paramilitary force which has maximum public interaction and acts as a public interface. CISF is a dynamic force and also a well diversified force and it should retain its core competence, he added. The Home Minister has advised the CISF that it should carry out special security audits at all important strategic installations every four months to increase its preparedness.
The Union Home Minister said that since India is heading to be an economic superpower, the CISF has to take the responsibility of becoming `Pragati Ke Sajag Prahari`. He expressed his happiness over the CISF providing security consultancy services and said if it is marketed aggressively, CISF can become a big player in this area. The CISF is capable to meet the security challenges and it is ready to become one of the most modern and hi-tech security force of our country, he added.
The Director General, CISF, Shri Arvind Ranjan, Directors General and senior officers of Central Paramilitary Forces were present on the occasion.
An impressive display of Rifle Drill, Fire-fighting and VIP Security were presented.

The CISF is a dedicated professional force which provides security to a wide range of critical infrastructure assets of the nation. Rapidly changing technology and ever increasing public awareness calls for continuous adaptation, skill up gradation and acquisition of new technologies by the CISF. PM Of India Sh Narendra Modi Said “Providing security cover to several key units & establishments across India, Contribution to our Nation’s progress is vital.”
PM Tweeted “On 46th Raising Day of CISF I salute the CISF personnel for their bravery & sense of duty with which they have served our Nation for years”.
The CISF came into existence in 1969 with a modest beginning, having three battalions, to provide integrated security cover to the Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) which, in those years, occupied the commanding heights of the economy.
CISF is currently providing security cover to nuclear installations, space establishments, airports, seaports, power plants, sensitive Government buildings and ever heritage monuments. Among the important responsibilities recently entrusted to the CISF are the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, and establishment of a Formed Police Unit (FPU) of the UN at Haiti.
