Google turned 21 on Friday and it celebrated the occasion with a special doodle that showed a 90s era desktop computer flashing its old logo on the screen.
Google is a US-based multi-national technology bellwether that specialises in Internet-related services and products, which include an eponymous search engine, online advertising technologies and cloud compution
Google was founded on September 27, 1998, by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were PhD students at Stanford University in California in the US.
The popular firm has its headquarters in Mountain View, California, nicknamed ‘the Googleplex’, and one of the the Big Four technology companies, alongside Amazon, Apple and Facebook.

डूडल में राष्ट्रपति भवन के सामने विभिन्न रंगों से सजा गूगल लिखा हुआ है जिसका हर एक अक्षर एक कहानी कह रहा है। इसके अलावा पेड़-पौधे और हरियाली भी डूडल में दिखाई गई है।
दरअसल गणतंत्र दिवस की पूरी थीम पर्यावरण, आर्किटेक्चर, टेक्सटाइल, वन्यजीवों, स्मारकों और खेती पर आधारित है।
गूगल का पहला अक्षर ‘जी’ हरे रंग में है जिसे गोल्फ लिंक पर दिखाया गया है, ‘एल’ कुतुब मीनार को दिखाता है, चौथे अक्षर ‘जी’ को हाथी की सूंड की आकृति का बनाया गया है जिसके नीचे मोर बना है। दो- ‘ओ’ और ‘ई’ कलाकृतियां तथा देश की धरोहरों को निरूपित करते हैं।

[Mumbai] Google’s Special Doodle Remebers Special Farouque Sheikh On his 70th Birth Anniversary.
Search engine Google has paid homage to Farouque Sheikh with a special doodle.
“Today’s Doodle by Nimit Malavia is a tribute to Farouque Sheikh’s cinematic career in a style evocative of hand-painted movie posters of the 1970s, and especially ‘Umrao Jaan’.
Born in 1948, in a simple middle-class household, Sheikh studied law at college but he continued to dabble in theater on the side, and eventually decided to give acting a go.
Sheikh made a tremendous contribution in theatre, films and TV as well. He started his career in Bollywood in 1973 with “Garm Hava” and is best remembered for his performances in films like “Shatranj Ke Khiladi”, “Chashme Buddoor”, “Kissi Se Na Kehna” and “Noorie”.
His last film was “Club 60” and before that he was seen playing the role of a father to Ranbir Kapoor’s character in “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”.
He also hosted the popular TV show “Jeena issi ka naam hai” in which he interviewed many Bollywood celebrities.

Internet Mughal Google Dedicated a Doodle to Historic “Tryst with Destiny”15th August

[New Delhi] Internet Mughal Google today dedicated a doodle to the historic “Tryst with Destiny”
speech of the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. India celebrates 70th year of Independence
Nehru had delivered the historic speech in Parliament House before the Indian Constituent Assembly.
“Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now that time comes when we shall redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom,” he had said in the speech.
The doodle has 1947 written at the bottom of Parliament House to mark the year of India’s Independence.
India shares its Independence Day with South Korea, marking the end of Japanese colonial rule in 1945 for which Google has dedicated yet another doodle.
Last year on Independence day, Google had portrayed Gandhi’s Dandi March on its doodle.
Previously, the Red Fort, various versions of the Indian flag and tricolour, Indian postage stamps and even the national bird, the peacock, have been incorporated in Google’s Independence Day doodles for India

[Mumbai]Google Dedicates Its Doodle To Revolutionary RD Burman[Pancham Da] On His 77th Birthday
Search engine Google today celebrated the 77th anniversary of music legend RD Burman with a doodle on its India homepage.
The Google homepage features a smiling portrait of the iconic composer, with animated visuals of some of the famous songs and films he worked on, in the background.
Burman, only son of noted Indian music director SD Burman, was popularly known as Pancham Da.
He revolutionised the Hindi music industry by bringing in western music influence.
Burman made electronic rock popular in India and also incorporated jazz and Arabic tunes in his compositions.
His songs for films like “Kati Patang,” “Hare Rama Hare Krishna”, “Caravan”, “Sholay” and “Yaadon Ki Baaraat” among other were major hits and became an inspiration for new-age music composers.
Burman also produced an array of spell-binding melodies and semi-classicals for films like “Amar Prem,” “Aandhi”, “Parichay”, “Ijaazat”, “Kinara”, and “Khushboo”.
The composer died in 1994. The last movie he worked on was “1942: A Love Story”, starring Anil Kapoor and Manisha Koirala in the lead, which was released after his death
