India Signed Legal Agreement with the World Bank for IBRD Loan of US$ 4oo Million for Tamilnadu Sustainable Urban Development Project
The Loan and Project Agreements for World Bank (IBRD) assistance of US$ 400 million for Tamil Nadu Sustainable Urban Development Project were signed between the Government of India/ Government of Tamil Nadu and World Bank yesterday.
The Loan Agreement was signed by Shri Raj Kumar, Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance on behalf of Government of lndia and Mr. Onno Ruhl, Country Director, World Bank (lndia) on behalf of the World Bank. The Project Agreements were signed by Shri Praveen P. Nair, Deputy Secretary, Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, Govt. of Tamil Nadu on behalf of the State Government and Smt. Anita Praveen, Principal Secretary/ Chairperson and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financing Services Ltd. (TNUIFSL) on behalf of TNUIFSL and Tamil Nadu Urban Development Fund. Mr.Onno Ruhl signed both Project Agreements on behalf of the World Bank.
The total project size is US$ 600 million, out of which World Bank support is US$ 400 million.

आम आदमी पार्टी [आप] की हरियाणा में आमद को रोकने के लिए मेवात में कम्‍युनिटी रेडियो पर उपभोक्‍ता हेल्‍पलाइन की शुरूआत की जा रही है |
भारत की पहली रेडियो आधारित उपभोक्‍ता हेल्‍पलाइन हरियाणा के मेवात इलाके के नूह में शुरू की जाएगी। भारत सरकार के उपभोक्‍ता मामलों के सचिव पंकज अग्रवाल 15 जनवरी को इसकी विधिवत शुरूआत करेंगे।
इस हेल्‍पलाइन का प्रबंध मेवात आधारित कम्‍युनिटी रेडियो स्‍टेशन रेडियो मेवात करेगा।
भारत सरकार के उपभोक्ता मामलों के मंत्रालय, खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण विभाग के अनुसार कम्‍युनिटी रेडियो की यह कंज्‍यूमर हेल्‍पलाइन एक समुदाय के उपभोक्‍ताओं में जागरूकता पैदा करने की एक नई कोशिश होगी। लोग इस हेल्‍पलाइन पर रेडियो रिपोर्टर से बातचीत करके अपना संदेश छोड़ देंगे। इसके बाद यह रेडियो स्‍टेशन जरूरी कागजात तैयार करेगा जिसे संबद्ध एजेंसी को सौंप दिया जाएगा। संदेश देने के लिए लोग 8685904904 पर फोन कर सकेंगे अथवा खुद रेडियो स्टेशन आकर संदेश दे सकते हैं।
इस रेडियो स्‍टेशन पर 30 मिनट का एक स्‍लॉट उपभोक्‍ता अधिकारों पर कार्यक्रम प्रस्‍तुत करने के लिए दिया जाएगा। इसमें जिन विषयों पर खास ध्‍यान दिया जाएगा वह हैं-दवाएं, बिना बिल दिए माल बेचना और भ्रामक विज्ञापन आदि। इन विषयों पर जागृति आने से राज्‍य और उपभोक्‍ताओं को फायदा होगा और चीजों की मांग बढ़ेगी।

At Last Government has recommended The proposal of Rs 2057.66 crores F D I In M/s Jet Airways India . This investment is above Rs. 1200.00 crore .So ,now ,this will go to CCEA for their consideration
Government Of India Approves Seventeen (17) Proposals of Foreign Direct Investment Amounting to about Rs. 992.61 Crores Based on the recommendations of Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) in its meeting held on July 29, 2013, the Government has approved 17 Proposals of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) amounting to Rs. 992.61crore approximately.
In addition, one proposal viz., M/s Jet Airways India Ltd., amounting to Rs. 2057.66 crore, has also been recommended for consideration of Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA).

Government Of India Maintained Distance From Lobbying Multi National Companies. Minister of Corporate Affairs said that govt is not going to legalize the Lobbying in India.
Government has said that at present it is not considering any proposal to legalize lobbying by companies. This information was given by Shri Sachin Pilot, Minister of Corporate Affairs, in written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today.
It has been stated that During the last three years (i.e. 2010-11 to 2012-13), 154 complaints against companies have been received in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Giving this information in written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today, Shri Sachin Pilot, Minister of Corporate Affairs, said that inspections u/s 209A and/ or Investigations u/s 235 or scrutiny of the Balance Sheets and other documents u/s 234 of the Act in these cases have been ordered.
He also informed the House that his Ministry is in the process of developing an early warning system to identify cases of frauds or potential frauds at the earliest and the Pilot testing of the system is expected to be completed during current Financial Year.
