The administration of Nagaur, where Mevani had a rally, had restricted his visit and the police stopped the Gujarat MLA at the airport
Mewani took to Twitter to say that he only wanted to talk about the Indian Constitution.
In another tweet, he said, “Now the police is saying you are not allowed to move around even in Jaipur and they are forcing me to fly back to Ahmedabad and also not allowing to hold even a press conference…this is shocking.”

[New Delhi]Congress Raises Eyebrows Over Handing Over of Profit making Jaipur+Ahmedabad Airports to Changi For Management.
Both States Are Ruled BY BJP.
The Congress described as “surpising and shocking” the decision to open up Jaipur and Ahmedabad airports to Singapore’s Changi Airport Group for management operations and asked whether Airports Authority of India was taken into confidence.
Ahmed Patel, Political Secretary to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, tweeted “the manner in which profitable airports of Ahmedabad and Jaipur have been handed over to Changi is surprising and shocking.”
He also questioned why due process that encourages competition was avoided in handing over of airports.
The group would be managing the terminal operations and parking at these both airports.
Airports Authority of India (AAI) Chairman R K Srivastava had said the modalities with regard to Changi taking over the operation of Ahmedabad and Jaipur airports are being worked out.
AAI, which currently manages the two airports, is also awaiting from the government the official agreement for the proposed partnership.
In 2014-15, Ahmedabad airport handled 5.05 million passengers, including 1.22 million international travellers.
During the corresponding period, Jaipur airport handled 2.20 million passengers, of them 0.33 million overseas people.
By 2023-24, the volume of passengers at Ahmedabad is expected to go up to 6.77 million, and Jaipur 3.75 million.

Two passengers were detained by the Customs Department after 60,000 cigarettes worth over Rs 3 lakh were seized from them at the Jaipur International Airport,
As per Joint Commissioner-Customs, Honhar Singh Meena,The accused, identified as Mohammed Abid (36) and
,Samir Ansari (27), residents of Delhi who had alighted from Air Arabia flight from Sharjah were detained after six bags filled with Indonesian brand ‘Black’ cigarettes worth Rs 3.09 lakh was recovered from them,
A penalty of Rs 20,000 each has been imposed on the duo for allegedly not paying the custom duty and the cigarettes bags were confiscated, Meena said, adding, they were later released after interrogation.
According to the rule, a passenger is allowed to carry only 100 cigarettes after staying abroad for three days, but these passengers allegedly tried to smuggle all of the bags,
Three days ago the duo had gone to Sharjah, and on return they planned their journey via Jaipur,
After gold smuggling, the cigarette smuggling is getting momentum in Rajasthan via Sharjah and other places of Dubai,
As per Customs Department , about 80,000 cigarettes in March 2015, followed by 18,000 in May, 67,000 in June and now 60,000 in August,are Cigarette seized
