Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today attacked the Modi government after it listed its achievements in the President’s address, alleging that it has been a “complete failure” on job creation front.
It is a big issue today to provide jobs for youth in India,” Rahul said outside Parliament after President Pranab Mukherjee’s customary address on the first day of the Budget session of Parliament.
Marking opening of the Budget session, the President in his address to the joint sitting of both the Houses of Parliament referred to demonetisation to fight blackmoney and corruption as also the surgical strikes across the LoC as bold decisions, both of which were received with thumping of desks by members.
The President said a nationwide network of 50 India International Skill Centres was being established with the objective of providing training of global standards to the youth.
He said over 20 lakh youth have benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.

President had earlier agreed to attend the valedictory ceremony on Sunday.
President Pranab Mukherjee will not attend a festival being organised by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of Art of Living in the wake of the controversy over holding the three-day cultural function on the Yamuna flood plains beginning this Friday.
“The President cannot attend the function due to unavoidable circumstances,” an official of the Rashtrapati Bhavan said
President Mukherjee had earlier agreed to attend the valedictory ceremony on Sunday.
While the organisers expect lakhs of people to attend the function, concerns have been raised by experts about the likely damage to the environment caused by holding it on the flood plains of the already polluted river in east Delhi.
The Art of Living foundation, which is organising the function, will have yoga + meditation sessions , peace prayers by Sanskrit scholars and traditional cultural performances from around the world.
The National Green Tribunal, which looks after the environmental issues, is hearing a petition which has claimed the organisers will release ‘enzymes’ into 17 drains that flow into the Yamuna for cleaning the river. A judgement is expected tomorrow.
The three-day event will be held from March 11-13 on the west bank of Yamuna to celebrate 35 years of The Art of Living foundation.
The petitioner Alleged “This proposed activity would be in blatant violation of the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, and the Biological Diversity Act, 2002, since it is, basically, introducing foreign elements into the river, without any scientific study or information,”
Earlier, the green panel had issued notices to the Delhi government, Delhi Development Authority and Art of Living Foundation on another plea seeking stoppage of ongoing construction work on the flood plains.
It had also constituted an expert committee headed by Water Resources Secretary Shashi Shekhar to inspect the site of the proposed festival.

Three of the 28 members on the AMU Executive council are recommended by the Ministry for which the President’s nod is necessary as he is the Visitor of the institution.
This is not for the first time that the President has taken a view different from that of the Smriti Irani headed HRD Ministry.
It is learnt that the President had ignored the HRD Ministry’s recommendation while choosing M Jagadeesh as the JNU Vice Chancellor.

कांग्रेस अपने आप को घिरा महसूस कर रही है इसीलिए अपने को सरकार से अलग दिखाने के लिए कांग्रेस के राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी ने आज आर्डिनेंस पर अलग रुख अख्तियार कर लिया|उन्होंने दोषी ठहराए गए सांसदों+ विधायकों पर उच्चतम न्यायालय के फैसले को निष्प्रभावी बनाने के लिए लाए जा रहे विवादास्पद अध्यादेश को ‘बिल्कुल बकवास’ करार दिया और कहा कि उनकी यूं पी ऐ सरकार ने जो कुछ किया है, वह गलत है।इससे कांग्रेस नीत संयुक्त प्रगतिशील गठबंधन [ UPA ] सरकार के लिए असहज स्थिति पैदा होना स्वाभाविक है| इसके फल स्वरुप भाजपा ने जहां प्रधान मंत्री का इस्तीफा मांग लिया है तो पी एम् के पूर्व सलाहकार ने आगे आ कर पी एम् को इस असहज स्थिति से बाहर निकलने के लिए स्वयम इस्तीफ़ा देने की सलाह दे डाली है| अध्यादेश को कांग्रेस उपाध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी द्वारा गलत बताए जाने को भाजपा ने विलंबित डेमेज कंट्रोल के लिए ड्रामा बताया |भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष राज नाथ सिंह ने इसे कांग्रेस और सरकार में टकराव बताते हुए पूछा कि सरकार के एनी कदमो पर कांग्रेस पार्टी का क्या रुख है? राज्यसभा में विपक्ष के नेता अरूण जेटली ने कहा कि सरकार में इस कदम के लिए जिम्मेदार लोगों को त्यागपत्र दे देना चाहिए ।,लोक सभा के पूर्व स्पीकर सोम नाथ चटर्जी ने राहुल गाँधी के स्टेंड को प्रिंसिपल स्टेंड बताया तो बिहार के मुख्य मंत्री नितीश कुमार ने .राहुल का समर्थन करते हुए बिल को पार्लियामेंट में पास नहीं कराये जाने पर टिपण्णी की| आम आदमी पार्टी[आप] ने राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी से मुलाकात करके बिल को पुनर्विचार के लिए लौटाने का आग्रह किया है|
प्रेजिडेंट प्रणब मुखर्जी ने दोषी ठहराए गए सांसदों+ विधायकों पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले को उलटने के के लिए लाए जा रहे अध्यादेश पर हस्ताक्षर करने से पूर्व इसके ओचित्य पर कुछ प्रश्न उठाये हैं जिसे लेकर केंद्र सरकार की कार्यप्रणाली हास्यास्पद बन कर रह गई है|पांच राज्यों में होने वाले चुनावों में इसके नकारात्मक असर को बेअसर करने के लिए कांग्रेस के राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष राहुल गाँधी ने इस विवादित अध्यादेश को ‘बिल्कुल बकवास’ करार दिया और अपनी ही सरकार की आलोचना भी कर डाली जिसे अब पार्टी की लाइन बतया जा रहा है|
