As par State Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla, Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) will declare the results as per the pattern of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
3,08,000 students enrolled in Class 12 in government, aided and private schools under the PSEB in the 2020-21 academic session.
PSEB will be drafting the result based on an average 30 per cent theory component of best three performing subjects out of the main five subjects in Class 10 and 30 per cent weightage on the basis of marks obtained by the students in pre-board, practical examination in Class 11 and 40 per cent weightage on the basis marks obtained in pre-board examination, practical examination and internal assessment in Class 12.

Punjab school education department has introduced a new subject called ‘Welcome Life’ to inculcate moral values in the students.
This subject has been implemented in all the government, affiliated, associated, aided and unaided schools in the state. This new subject ‘Welcome Life’ has been commenced from the current session 2020-21.
Syllabus for this subject is prepared by the SCERT.On the basis of this syllabus books will be published by Punjab School Education Board and will be made available to the students. School principals are instructed to spend at least one period a week on the subject.

The Punjab Governance Reforms Department in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division under Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) on Monday organized a one-day state level workshop on DigiLocker for the Heads of State Government Departments and Universities at MGSIPA, Sector-26.
Chairing the workshop, Principal Secretary, Governance Reforms and Higher Education Ms. Seema Jain said that Governance Reforms department started process of integrating DigiLocker with e-Sewa and m-Sewa applications which are being used to deliver key services to citizens through different modes including
Sewa Kendras.
Caste Certificates (SC/ST/BC/OBC),
Residence Certificate and Rural Area Certificate
are available on respective Digilocker accounts of citizens which are issued via Sewa Kendras. Punjab State e-Governance Society and Punjab School Education Board have already registered as issuer departments on Digilocker.
Ms. Seema Jain urged for participation of all G2C, G2B service providing departments to connect with ecosystem of Digilocker by becoming issuer departments and delivers the end documents (certificate/license) via authentic digital medium to citizen/business units. This system will help the citizens to access their issued documents anytime, anywhere.
Digilocker core team member Mr. Amit Jain and Mr Durgaprasad Das said that all the departments should come forward for the paperless governance. Mr. Jain said that DigiLocker is an important building block cutting across all 3 vision areas of Digital India. The thrust of DigiLocker is to promote the vision of paperless governance, thus enabling any citizen to produce requisite documents anytime, anywhere in electronic form.
Addressing the participants, Director Governance Reforms, Mr. Parminder Pal Singh Sandhu stated that the State is progressing towards Digital Punjab through implementation of Enterprise Architecture thus focusing towards making all documents available to general public through DigiLocker. Digital Locker is aimed at minimizing the usage of physical documents and enable sharing of e-documents across government organizations or other agencies
