समाजवादी पार्टी (सपा) अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव ने केंद्र सरकार की विनिवेश नीति पर करारा प्रहार करते हुए कहा कि ‘‘कहीं ऐसा न हो जाए कि ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी की तरह देश पर उद्योगपतियों का राज हो जाए और सरकार आउटसोर्सिंग से चलने लगे।’’ अखिलेश ने यहां एक रैली में कहा, ‘‘केंद्र की भाजपा सरकार सब कुछ बेचती चली जा रही है। याद होगा कि अंग्रेज कारोबार करने आए थे। ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी दो-तीन चीजों का कारोबार करती थी। धीरे-धीरे करके उसने कारोबार बढ़ा लिया और अंग्रेजों ने एक कानून पास किया जिससे ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी खुद सरकार बन गई।’’ समाजवादी सुप्रीमो ने  आरोप लगाया, ‘‘भाजपा एक-एक करके सब कुछ निजी हाथों में बेच रही है। हो सकता है कि एक दिन सरकार ही कंपनी के हाथों बिक जाएगी और सरकार आउटसोर्सिंग से चलने लगेगी। जब सब चीजें बिक जाएंगी तो बाबा साहब भीमराव आंबेडकर ने संविधान में हमें जो अधिकार दिए हैं, वे सब छिन जाएंगे।’’ उत्तर प्रदेश के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि राज्य का आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव देश की तकदीर का चुनाव है, यह नौजवानों और किसानों के भविष्य को तय करने का चुनाव है।
अखिलेश ने उपस्थित लोगों से अपील की, ‘‘अगर देश को बचाना है तो भाजपा को हराना होगा। हमने भाजपा को रोकने के लिए पिछले लोकसभा चुनाव में बसपा के साथ गठबंधन किया। जो भी समझौते कर सकते थे, वो किए लेकिन उत्तर प्रदेश से भाजपा ज्यादा सीटें जीत गई। अगर 2019 के लोकसभा चुनाव में भाजपा को हरा दिया जाता तो ये तीन काले (केंद्रीय कृषि) कानून नहीं आते।’’

(New Delhi) BSP Leader Mayawati Suspends 7 Rebel MLAs
Rebel MLAs had opposed the nomination of BSP’s official candidate Ramji Gautam for the elections to the Rajya Sabha.
Mayawati also said that to ensure defeat of Samajwadi Party candidates in future MLC elections, her party will vote for BJP or any other party’s candidate.
The former UP chief minister said as soon as the rebel MLAs join any party, the BSP would take action against them under the anti-defection law.
In a jolt to the BSP on Wednesday, six party MLAs reportedly met Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and later threw hints that they may switch sides.
Four of the group of rebels also filed an affidavit, saying their signatures on the party candidate Gautam’s nomination for the Rajya Sabha polls had been forged .

Participating in the discussion on the Union Budget 2020-21 in Rajya Sabha, Ravi Prakash Verma said health allocation should be enhanced from 2.3 per cent of GDP to 5 per cent.
“If you don’t increase your health expenditure you will be defeated after doing everything,”
Referring to Coronavirus outbreak in China, he said what is happening in the neighbouring country cannot be taken lightly and mentioned 2011 Hollywood movie ‘Contagion’ which was based on a similar crisis.
“Health issues could lead to collapse of the economy,” he said.
“Pharma companies’ lobby is active in ministry,” he alleged, but did not elaborate.
He cautioned that 11 crore toilets were built using soakpit method that will contaminate water.

Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav on Thursday alleged a “conspiracy” on part of the government in extending the Parliament session
When the House was debating amendments to the insolvency law, Yadav raised a point of order, saying most of the seats are empty.
“Lok Sabha used to be a model for state assemblies. But look so many seats are empty … members have to attend marriages … there is a conspiracy on part of the government in running the House. People’s money is being wasted … tell me a valid reason for running the House,”
He was supported by some Congress members and Saugata Roy (TMC) who was sitting next to the SP leader.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal said there was quorum and the House has sufficient members.

[Lucknow,UP] Akhilesh Allots Safest Mainpuri To “Netaji”:17th Lok Sabha 2019
The Samajwadi Party on Friday released a list of six candidates for the Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh, fielding party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav from its stronghold Mainpuri.
Dharmendra Yadav will contest from Badaun,
Akshay Yadav from Firozabad,
Kamlesh Katheria from Etawah,
Bhailal Kol from Robertsganj and
Shabbir Valmiki from Bahraich,
The list was signed by SP national chief general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav.
The party left Mainpuri, described as its “safest” seat, from Mulayam Yadav, who is MP from Azamgarh right now.
He represented Mainpuri in the Lok Sabha in 1996, 2004 and 2009. In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Mulayam Yadav contested from Azamgarh and Mainpuri and won both.
In Mainpuri, his victory margin was a massive 3.64 lakh votes.

[New Delhi]SP Again Blown Sand Of CBI In Rajya Sabha &Got House Adjourned
Rajya Sabha proceedings were adjourned till 2 pm on Tuesday without transacting any business as the Samajwadi Party members protested amid reports that the CBI might quiz former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav in an illegal-mining case .
No sooner had official listed papers presented to the House, SP members were up on their feet against the “political vendetta” in the Jamos cartoonsCBI initiating a probe into alleged irregularities in mining during 2012 and 2016 when Yadav held the mining portfolio in the Uttar Pradesh government. They found support in other Opposition parties such as the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu adjourned the proceedings till 2 pm, in less than a minute of SP members raising the issue.
But before adjourning the proceedings, he said certain members had given notices under Rule 267 for suspension of business to take up discussions on issues, but he has not allowed any of the notices.
The same can be taken up under different rules,

Shivpal Singh Yadav is registered with the Election Commission
Earlier, Yadav had said his front will contest all 80 Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 elections.
Yadav launched the SSM on August 29 after falling out with nephew and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav. MLA Of Shivpal Yadav, however, is still a SP legislator from Jaswant Nagar in Etawah district.
