[New Delhi] Smart India Hackathon at 28 Centres
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology today announced that the much awaited Smart India Hackathon 2018 – is scheduled to be held on Mar 30 & 31, 2018 simultaneously at 28 different nodal centers across India. With 27 union Ministries and Departments and 17 State Governments having joined this grand initiative, SIH2018 is much bigger than its previous edition. Hyderabad is the nodal centre for Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, which is a ‘Premier Partner’ in this initiative. Ajay Sawhney, Secretary, MeitY said that “Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2018 would give an opportunity to students to use their creative skills in solving some of the country’s real life problems and he hoped that outcome of SIH 2018 will result in innovative solutions which can be commercialized”
340 software problem statements are proposed for the above event. Winners stand to get cash prizes and a chance to be part of the NASSCOM’s 10,000 Startups program.

The Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju received a cheque amounting to Rs. 143 crores as final dividend for the year 2013-14 from Shri R.K. Srivastava, Chairman, Airports Authority of India (AAI) in New Delhi today.
The AAI declared a dividend of Rs 288 crore for the year 2013-14. An Interim dividend cheque amounting to Rs 145 crore was already presented to the Ministry of Civil Aviation on August 4, 2014.
Shri R. N. Choubey, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.

Prime Minister Of India Narendra Modi Speaking On National Panchayati Raj Day ,Today, called for ending “sarpanch-pati” culture in panchayats, the practice of husbands of women sarpanches exercising undue influence, as he pitched for a leadership role for elected village representatives to alleviate poverty and promote education
The Prime Minister, Shri Modi, today urged Panchayat members to work with a five-year vision with concrete development plans to bring about positive changes in their village. In his remarks the Prime Minister hailed the contribution of women in the functioning of Panchayats across the country, and called for an end to the practice of “husbands of female Sarpanches” – “Sarpanch Pati” – exercising undue influence.
The Prime Minister urged Panchayat members to instil pride about the village. He said this required a firm resolve, rather than any budgetary provision.
He gave some suggestions in this regard, such as
[1]celebrating a birthday of the village. He said issues such as
[2]education of children in the village, and
[3]vaccination for children, should be paid special attention to, by Panchayat members.
[4]The Prime Minister urged Panchayat members to motivate all Government officials in their village to spend at least one hour a week with schoolchildren of the village.
The Prime Minister gave away the Annual Devolution Index (States) Awards, and E-Panchayat Awards, and congratulated the Zila Parishads and Gram Panchayats who were being felicitated on the occasion.
The Union Minister for Panchayati Raj, Chaudhary Birender Singh, and the MoS Panchayati Raj Shri Nihal Chand were present on the occasion.

The Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge), Tourism (Independent Charge) has said that a weekly monitoring system will be introduced soon for the various organizations under the Union Ministry of Culture. The Minister insisted on timely spending of funds while reviewing their working at the First meeting of the Heads of Organisations under the charge of Ministry of Culture in New Delhi today.
The Minister emphasized that 67% of the funds must be spent by December as per guidelines and targets must be met by the various organizations.
Dr. Sharma revealed that it is a dream of the Prime Minister that the rich cultural heritage of India should reach the remotest corner of the world via media of tourism and on wings of civil aviation. India is identified by virtue of its rich heritage, and the Ministry of Culture comprises of the custodians of this rich cultural heritage, a distinction of which they should be proud, he added. To highlight the importance of these organizations and their officials, a booklet on all the organizations and its officials under the Ministry of Culture will be published, the Minister said.
The Minister said that social media and interactive website can provide a major platform to increase the visibility of the Indian culture especially amongst foreign tourists.
The Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Mr. Ravinder Singh took a review of the performance of all the organizations including timely spending of funds. The representatives of various organizations under the Ministry of Culture including, ASI, NMML, SNA, IGNCA. National School of Drama, Lalit Kala Academy, zonal cultural centers etc attended the meeting.
Civil Aviation New Policy Is Aired To Shine Junked Wings Of National Carrier

“It is a step towards making civil aviation a vibrant sector in our country, to rise to its full potential”, said Civil Aviation Minister, Shri Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati while releasing the Draft Civil Aviation Policy on 10th November . The new Civil Aviation Policy is expected to be in place by January 2015, he added.
The Draft has been released for consultation with public and stakeholders within three weeks, after which six to seven groups of experts would be constituted to interact with stakeholders and review the inputs received during the process. The Minister Claimed , “it aims to develop a transparent policy in which regulations for the Civil Aviation sector would be more meaningful.”
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Shri V. Somasundaran highlighted the salient features of the Draft Civil Aviation Policy in terms of better services and conveniences to flyers.
The Draft notes that “airports are to be designed as integrated multi-modal hubs, so that they provide the best possible service levels as well as potential for growth. An integrated multi-modal hub should include rail, metro, bus and truck connectivity as well as accommodation and other services”, he added.
While developing airports, it is equally essential to ensure that related sectors such as access to manufacture, business, tourism and pilgrim centres are developed.
The six metropolitan airports at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad would be developed as major international hubs and would in future be the main access points for international travel to and from
The functioning of Ministry of Civil Aviation and the offices under the Ministry will be digitized to improve efficiency and transparency. The service and clearances to be given by different agencies will be made online. Electronic procurement systems will be strengthened to ensure transparency and accountability.

केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री कलराज मिश्र ने इस मौके पर गर्व व्यक्त करते हुए बताया कि पहली बार भारत सरकार के किसी मंत्रालय को आईएसओ प्रमाण पत्र दिया गया। उन्होंने आईएसओ मानकों के अनुरूप पद्धति और प्रक्रियाओं का पालन करने के लिए अधिकारियों और स्टॉफ की कड़ी मेहनत की प्रशंसा की। उन्होंने वायदा किया कि आईएसओ मानकों को लागू करके मंत्रालय सुधार के क्षेत्रों की पहचान करवाएगा और इससे कार्य-प्रणाली में पारदर्शिता और जवाबदेही भी आएगी।
कैबिनेट सचिवालय ने आईएसओ प्रमाण पत्र प्राप्त करने के लिए सभी मंत्रालय/विभागों को दिशा-निर्देश जारी किए थे। इसके अनुसार ही इस मंत्रालय ने दिसंबर, 2013 में अपनी तैयारियां शुरू कर दी थीं

उच्च शिक्षा पर अखिल भारतीय स्तर का वार्षिक सर्वेक्षण शुरू

केंद्रीय मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय ने उच्च शिक्षा पर अखिल भारतीय सर्वेक्षण (एआईएसएचई) 2014-15 का शुभारंभ किया
मंत्रालय में उच्च शिक्षा विभाग के सचिव, श्री सत्य नारायण मोहन्ती ने आज दिल्ली में उच्च शिक्षा पर अखिल भारतीय सर्वेक्षण (एआईएसएचई) 2014-15 का शुभारंभ किया।
मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय के अनुसार यह सर्वेक्षण 2010-11 से उच्च शिक्षा की स्थिति पर की जा रही एक वार्षिक, वेब-आधारित अखिल भारतीय प्रक्रिया है, जिसमें देश के उच्च शिक्षा के सभी संस्थान शामिल किए जाते हैं। अभी तक मंत्रालय ने एआईएसएचई 2011-12 की अंतिम और एआईएसएचई 2012-13 की अंतिम रिपोर्ट जारी की हैं। सर्वेक्षण प्रक्रिया लगातार चौथे वर्ष की जा रही है और एआईएसएचई 2013-14 जो 17 जून, 2014 को आरंभ की गई थी जो कि अब भी प्रक्रियाधीन है।
अक्टूबर में शुरू की गई एआईएसएचई 2014-15 में उच्च शिक्षा सांख्यिकी के प्रचार-प्रसार में समय अंतराल को समाप्त कर दिया गया है।
इस वार्षिक सर्वेक्षण में शिक्षकों, छात्रों के नामांकन, कार्यक्रमों, परीक्षा परिणामों, शिक्षा वित्त, बुनियादी सुविधाओं जैसे अनेक मानकों के बारे में आंकड़े एकत्र किए जाते हैं। ऐसे मानकों और एकत्र किए गए आंकड़ों का उपयोग शिक्षा के विकास में सोच-समझकर नीतिगत निर्णय लेने और अनुसंधान आयोजित करने में किया जाता है। यह सर्वेक्षण मजबूत डाटाबेस बना रहा है जिसे संस्थानों द्वारा प्रस्तुत की गई जानकारी के अनुसार प्रतिवर्ष अपडेट किया जा रहा है।

उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि प्रेस की स्वतंत्रता जिम्मेदारी से जुड़ी है|इसीलिए हर खबर को सनसनी खेज बनाने से बचने और पेड न्यूज की बुराई से लड़ने पर विशेष बल दिया केंद्रीय मंत्री ने आईआईएमसी को ‘’संचार विश्वविद्यालय’’ के रूप में उन्नत किये जाने का आश्वासन भी दिया |

श्री जावड़ेकर ने प्रेस को आइना दिखाते हुए कहा कि प्रेस की स्वतंत्रता जिम्मेदारी से जुड़ी है। पूरे इतिहास में प्रेस की जिम्मेदारी विभिन्न अवसरों पर दिखी भी है। उन्होंने डिप्लोमा प्रदान किए गए विधार्थियों से कहा कि वह हर कीमत पर समाचारों को सनसनीखेज बनाने से बचें और पेड न्यूज़ की बुराई से लड़े। उन्होंने कहा कि एक युवा पत्रकार को बिना कमीशन के लगन और करुणा के साथ काम करना चाहिए। उन्होंने विधार्थियों से कहा कि वे विभिन्न मीडिया स्रोतों से मिली सूचनाओं के बीच संतुलन बनाएं। इन स्रोतों में नई और परंपरागत मीडिया भी है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह पक्ष भविष्य में नीति सम्मत पत्रकारिता का आधारभूत ढांचा तैयार करेगा।
भारतीय जनसंचार संस्थान में दीक्षांत समारोह में बोलते हुए सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री प्रकाश जावड़ेकर ने आश्वासन दिया कि भारतीय संचार संस्थान को ‘संचार विश्वविद्यालय’ के रूप में उन्नत किया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रक्रिया शुरू करने के कदम उठाए जाएंगे तथा सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय शीघ्र रोडमैप तैयार करेगा। श्री जावड़ेकर ने आम लोगों विशेषकर नई पीढ़ी के लोगों से सुझाव मांगते हुए कहा कि ऐसे सुझावों के लिए सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय की वेबसाइट पर अलग स्थान विकसित किया जाएगा और मंत्रालय इन सुझावों पर आगे कार्रवाई करेगा। पूरी प्रक्रिया प्रधानमंत्री की संचार दृष्टि का हिस्सा है और इसका जोर भागीदारी मूलक संचार प्रक्रिया पर है ताकि मीडिया समुदाय सहित सभी हितधारक जुड़ सकें। श्री जावड़ेकर ने आज यहां भारतीय जनसंचार के 47वें दीक्षांत समारोह में भाषण और स्वर्ण जयंती समारोह लॉन्च करते हुए यह जानकारी दी।
श्री जावड़ेकर ने कहा कि देश में हुए हाल के चुनाव निर्वाचन व्यवहारों तथा मतदाताओं के व्यवहार पर अध्ययन करने का सटीक विषय प्रस्तुत करते हैं। उन्होंने भारतीय जनसंचार संस्थान से चुनाव संबंधी संचार प्रक्रिया तथा निर्वाचन प्रणाली के विभिन्न पक्षों को समझने के लिए अध्ययन कार्यक्रम चलाने का आग्रह किया। सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री ने आईआईएमसी की स्वर्ण जयंती समारोह पर एक नया लोगो जारी किया। उन्होंने आईआईएमसी की दो भाषाओं वाली वेबसाइट का भी उद्घाटन किया।
आईआईएमसी पत्रकारिता, मीडिया तथा जनसंचार शिक्षण, प्रशिक्षण और अनुसंधान के क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्ट केन्द्र के रूप में जाना जाता है। आईआईएमसी के छह केन्द्रों तथा मिजोरम के आईजोल, महाराष्ट्र के अमरावती, जम्मू-कश्मीर के जम्मू तथा केरल के कोट्यम स्थित नए क्षेत्रीय केन्द्रों के 341 विधार्थियों को डिप्लोमा प्रदान किया गया। पी.जी.डिप्लोमा उपाधि हिन्दी एवं अंग्रेजी पत्रकारिता, विज्ञापन एवं जनसंपर्क, उड़ीया तथा उर्दू पत्रकारिता में दिया गया। सभी पाठ्यक्रमों की विभिन्न श्रेणियों में 31 विधार्थियों को विशेष पुरस्कार दिए गए।

[नई दिल्ली]प्रधानमंत्री ने श्रम योगी’ को राष्ट्र योगी’ और ‘राष्ट्र निर्माता’ बनाने के लिए कम सरकार और अधिक शासन के अपने चुनावी नारे को चरित्रार्थ करते हुए श्रमिकों की नजर से श्रम मुद्दों को सुलझाने के लिए पांच नई पहलों की शुरुआत की |१६ फार्मो के स्थान पर केवल एक फ़ार्म बनाया गया |
प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने आज श्रमिकों की नजर से श्रम मुद्दों को समझने की पुरजोर वकालत की, ताकि उन्हें संजीदगी के साथ सुलझाया जा सके।
नई दिल्ली में पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय श्रमेव जयते कार्यक्रम में पांच नई पहलों की शुरुआत के बाद अपने संबोधन में प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि इस तरह का सम्मानजनक नजरिया अपनाने से ‘श्रम योगी’ (श्रमिक) पहले ‘राष्ट्र योगी’ और फिर ‘राष्ट्र निर्माता’ बन जायेंगे।उद्घाटन की लीक से हटते हुए दीप प्रज्वलनं नहीं हुआ फीता भी नहीं काटा गया वरन ऑन लाइन लाखों एस एम एस भेज कर इस समारोह की शुरुआत की गई|
प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि राष्ट्र के विकास में ‘श्रमेव जयते’ की उतनी ही अहमियत है जितनी ‘सत्यमेव जयते’ की है।
श्री मोदी ने कहा कि सरकार को अपने नागरिकों पर अवश्य भरोसा करना चाहिए और दस्तावेजों के स्व-प्रमाणन की इजाजत देकर इस दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम उठाया गया है। उन्होंने कहा कि श्रमेव जयते कार्यक्रम के तहत आज जिन विभिन्न पहलों की शुरुआत की गई है, वे भी इस दिशा में अहम कदम हैं।
प्रधानमंत्री ने एक साथ अनेक योजनाओं का शुभारंभ करने के लिए श्रम एवं रोजगार मंत्रालय के प्रयासों की सराहना की जिनके अंतर्गत श्रमिकों के साथ-साथ नियोजकों के हितों का भी ख्याल रखा गया है। उ
उन्होंने बताया कि श्रम सुविधा पोर्टल ने महज एक ऑनलाइन फॉर्म के जरिये 16 श्रम कानूनों का अनुपालन आसान कर दिया है।
उन्होंने कहा कि निरीक्षण के लिए यूनिटों का अनियमित चयन करने की पारदर्शी ‘श्रम निरीक्षण योजना’ से इंसपेक्टर राज की बुराइयों से निजात मिलेगी और इसके साथ ही कानूनों का बेहतर ढंग से पालन भी सुनिश्चित होगा।
प्रधानमंत्री ने इस बात पर चिंता व्यक्त की कि कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन में 27,000 करोड़ रुपये की विशाल राशि बगैर दावे के पड़ी है।
उन्होंने कहा कि यह रकम भारत के गरीब श्रमिकों के पसीने की कमाई है जो उन्हें लौटाई जाएगी
उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि यूनिवर्सल एकाउंट नम्बर के जरिये कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि में सुनिश्चित की गई पोर्टेबिलिटी से इस तरह की रकम के फंस जाने और वास्तविक लाभार्थियों तक उसके न पहुंच पाने की समस्या से निजात मिल जायेगी।
प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि व्यावसायिक प्रशिक्षण के राष्ट्रीय ब्रांड अम्बेसडर नियुक्त करने की पहल से आईटीआई विद्यार्थियों का गौरव और विश्वास बढ़ेगा। प्रधानमंत्री ने इस मौके पर चुनिंदा ब्रांड अम्बेसडरों को सम्मानित भी किया।
प्रशिक्षु प्रोत्साहन योजना और असंगठित क्षेत्र के कामगारों के लिए पुनर्गठित राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य बीमा योजना (आरएसबीवाई) के कारगर क्रियान्वयन का भी आज शुभारंभ किया गया।
प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि ‘श्रमेव जयते’ कार्यक्रम दरअसल ‘मेक इन इंडिया’ विजन का ही एक अहम हिस्सा है, क्योंकि इससे बड़ी संख्या में युवाओं का कौशल विकास करने का रास्ता साफ होगा और इसके साथ ही भारत को आने वाले वर्षों में काबिल कर्मचारियों की वैश्विक जरूरत को पूरा करने का अवसर भी मिलेगा। इस अवसर पर केन्द्रीय मंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र सिंह तोमर, श्री कलराज मिश्र, श्री अनंत गीते तथा डॉ. हर्षवर्धन और केन्द्रीय श्रम राज्य मंत्री श्री विष्णु देव साय भी उपस्थित थे।
