शिरोमणि गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक कमेटी (एसजीपीसी) की आपत्ति के बाद एनसीईआरटी ने 12वीं कक्षा की राजनीति विज्ञान की पाठ्यपुस्तक से अलग सिख राष्ट्र खालिस्तान की मांग के संदर्भ हटा दिए हैं। शिक्षा मंत्रालय के अधिकारियों ने यह जानकारी दी।

एसजीपीसी ने पिछले महीने आरोप लगाया था कि राष्ट्रीय शैक्षिक अनुसंधान और प्रशिक्षण परिषद (एनसीईआरटी) ने अपनी 12वीं कक्षा की राजनीति विज्ञान की पाठ्यपुस्तक में सिखों के बारे में ऐतिहासिक विवरण को गलत तरीके से प्रस्तुत किया है।

सिख निकाय की आपत्ति आनंदपुर साहिब संकल्प के उल्लेख पर “स्वतंत्रता के बाद से भारत में राजनीति” पुस्तक में है।

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee honorary chief secretary Harjinder Singh Dhami  Promoted to the Post of  president of the apex religious body of the Sikhs.,Dhami succeeded Bibi Jagir Kaur as the president of the SGPC.
The Shiromani Akali Dal had on Monday announced Kaur as party candidate from the Bholath Assembly seat in Kapurthala district for the polls.
Dhami, a Badal family loyalist, is a member of the SGPC from Sham Chaurasi segment of Hoshiarpur district
The other officer-bearers who were elected include Raghujit Singh Virk (senior vice-president), Surinder Singh (junior vice-president) and Karnail Singh Panjoli (general secretary). 
The SGPC general house of 191 members comprises 170 elected by Sikh voters, 15 co-opted and six sitting heads of Sikh temporal seats and the Golden Temple head priest.

CM asked DC Amritsar to talk to the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (#SGPC) and management of #Durgiana temple to encourage devotees to wear masks inside the shrines.

Punjab Congress will not hold any political gatherings for the next two weeks in view of the spike in Covid cases in the state.
Captain Amarinder also appealed to other political parties and their leaders to keep their gatherings within the prescribed numbers ie 50% of capacity, subject to maximum of 100 in closed and 200 in open spaces. No political gatherings should take place in the most affected districts

गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने मंगलवार को लोकसभा में कहा कि पंजाब के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री बेअंत सिंह की हत्या के दोषी बलवंत सिंह राजोआना को कोई माफी नहीं दी गई है।
सदन में शून्यकाल के दौरान लुधियाणां से कांग्रेस सांसद और स्वर्गीय बेअंत सिंह के पौत्र रवनीत सिंह बिट्टू के एक पूरक प्रश्न के उत्तर में शाह ने यह जानकारी दी।
बिट्टू ने सवाल किया कि क्या राजोआना को माफी दी जा रही है? इस पर शाह ने कहा, ‘‘मीडिया रिपोर्ट पर मत जाइए। कोई माफी नहीं की गई है।’’ गौरतलब है कि राजोआना को बेअंत सिंह की हत्या के मामले में दोषी है।
शाह के इस बयान पर एसजीपीसी के अध्यक्ष गोबिंद सिंह लोंगोवाल ने दुख जताया

[New Delhi]Modi Reiterates Govt’s Support For Victims of 1984’s Sikh Genocide
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi met victims of the 1984 Sikh genocide after the Union cabinet meeting on Wednesday and assured them of the government’s full support,
The victims were accompanied by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal, Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal, party MP Naresh Gujral and heads of Sikh religious bodies SGPC and DSGPC.
As per Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal Modi commended the victims for their 34-years-long fight for justice. She added that the victims got justice under the Modi government after Sajjan Kumar was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
Gujral, who was accompanying the victims, said they all got very emotional after meeting Modi and sought protection from him, which was assured by the prime minister.

[New Delhi] SGPC Gets New Pradhan in Gobind Singh,GS In Karmuwala . Raghujit Singh will be the senior vice-president, Harpal Singh will be the junior vice-president.
BJP Ruled Centre has notified the names of the office-bearers of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC),
SGPC manages gurdwaras of
Punjab,
Haryana,
Himachal Pradesh and
Chandigarh, with Gobind Singh as the President and Gurbachan Singh Karmuwala as the General Secretary.
In a communication, the Union Home Ministry said the 15-member body of the SGPC, which also manages the Golden Temple in Amritsar, will have one senior vice-president and one junior vice-president.
The executive committee members are:
Sajjan Singh,
Bhagwant Singh,
Lakhbir Singh,
Bibi Gurpreet Kaur,
Gurtej Singh,
Hardev Singh,
Ravinder Singh,

[चंडीगढ़,पंजाब] अकाल तख्त ने धार्मिक फिल्मों पर लगाम के लिए बनाया ‘सिख सेंसर बोर्ड’
अकाल तख्त ने यह कहते हुए ‘ सिख सेंसर बोर्ड ’ का गठन किया है कि अब सिखों से संबंधित और उनके धर्म से संबंधित फिल्म बनाने से पहले फिल्मनिर्माताओं को यहां से मंजूरी लेनी होगी।
पिछले महीने ‘ नानक शाह फकीर ’ फिल्म के रिलीज को लेकर उपजे विवाद के बाद यह कदम उठाया गया है। यह फिल्म सिखों के पहले गुरु पर बनी है।
शिरोमणि गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक समिति (एसजीपीसी) ने इस फिल्म की रिलीज पर रोक लगाने के लिए उच्चतम न्यायालय का दरवाजा खटखटाया था लेकिन न्यायालय ने इस पर रोक लगाने से इंकार कर दिया था।
बोर्ड की सिफारिश के बाद अकाल तख्त वृत्तचित्र (डॉक्यूमेंट्री) या एनिमेशन फिल्म के बारे में अंतिम फैसला लेगा।

[New Delhi] ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ Clears Legal Hurdle
The Supreme Court today cleared the decks for an all-India release of the controversial movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ on April 13.
The top court criticised the apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for putting restrictions on the release of the movie, based on the life and teachings of the first Sikh guru, Guru Nanak Dev.
A bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud said once the statutory body like the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the movie, no individual has the right to impede its release.
The petitioner Harinder S Sikka, a retired Naval officer and the producer of the film, had approached the apex court seeking protection of the Fundamental Right of speech and expression and the propagation of religious views which, he alleged, was being curtailed by certain section of the people having vested interests in scuttling the release of the movie.
The CBFC had cleared the movie on March 28 but, Sikka claimed, he had received a communication on March 30 from SGPC asking him not to release the film.
