[New Delhi]Ministry Of Civil Aviation Ordered Inquiry into Spice jet Flight Hitting Buffalo At Surat Airport
A Delhi-bound Spicejet plane hit a stray buffalo on the runway while rolling for take-off from Surat airport late last night, providing anxious moments to the 146 people on board.
On November 6, at 19.06 hours the SpiceJet Flight SG-622 (Boeing 737-800 aircraft) hit an Buffalo during the take-off run. Timely action by the pilot of the aircraft averted a mishap and the aircraft was brought back to the apron for checks. Another aircraft was called from Mumbai and passengers were sent to Delhi around 2300 hrs.
Damaged Plane is grounded after the incident.An FIR has been lodged in the incident.
All passengers and crew Are Reported safe.
The Minister of Civil Aviation, Shri Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati has directed that an inquiry should be conducted by Airports Authority of India (AAI) to ensure that incidents like the one at Surat airport should not recur at any other airport.
Earlier, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) ordered an inquiry into the incident and a team from DGCA Regional Headquarters, Mumbai is to visit Surat airport today.
This type of breach Of Airport by animals from surrounding villages have been reported earlier also. There are fish ponds just adjacent to the boundary wall at Surat Airport which attract birds around the airport, causing safety hazards. These concerns have been raised by APD with State Government authorities and local administration. The Secretary, Civil Aviation has also spoken to Chief Secretary, Gujarat on this issue.

Alliance Air, the wholly owned subsidiary of Air India, today signed here an MoU with the North East Council (NEC) for flight operations in the North East under Viability Gap Funding (VGF)
Under this MoU, Alliance Air will provide air services to [1]Shillong[2]Tezpur[3]Lilabari[4]Silchar [5] Guwahati with ATR 42 type of aircraft till 31st March, 2016.

नेशनल कॅरियर ऐ आई को स्टार अलायन्स का सहारा मिला अब यात्रियों को भी व्यापक लाभ मिलेंगे
नेशनल कॅरियर एयर इंडिया को स्टार अलायन्स में शामिल कर लिया गया है जिसके फलस्वरूप लगातार घाटे मे जा रही एयर इंडिया को अधिक व्यापार और इसके यात्रियों को 195 देशों के 1328 हवाई अड्डों पर व्यापक सुविधाएँ प्राप्त हो सकेंगी|स्टार एलाइन्स प्रमुख 26 एयर लाइनों का एक सबसे बड़ा समूह है
स्टार एलाइन्स क्लब में एयर इंडिया के शामिल होने की घोषणा करते हुए केन्द्रीय नागर विमानन मंत्री श्री अशोक गजपति राजू ने यह जानकारी दी। इस अवसर पर नागर विमानन सचिव श्री अशोक लवासा+ एयर इंडिया के मुख्य प्रबंध निदेशक श्री रोहित नंदन + स्टार एलाइन्स के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी श्री जैफरी गोह भी उपस्थित थे।
श्री गजपति ने कहा कि इस एसोसिएशन से जुड़ने के बाद भारत को विश्व की सबसे बड़ी एयरलाइनों के समूह के सदस्यों को मिलने वाली वर्तमान सुविधाओं का लाभ प्राप्त होगा और इसकी व्यापक पहुंच और सुविधाएं एयर इंडिया के यात्रियों के लिए भी उपलब्ध होंगी। स्टार एलाइन्स में शामिल होने के बाद एयर इंडिया के राजस्व में चार से पांच प्रतिशत तक की वृद्धि की आशा जताई गई है
केंद्रीय मंत्री ने बताया कि सरकार द्वारा हाल में की गई कुछ पहलों में से विमानन क्षेत्र में स्टार एलाइन्स में एयर इंडिया का प्रवेश बेहद सकारात्मक परिणाम लेकर आएगा। स्टार एलाइन्स प्रमुख 26 एयर लाइनों का एक सबसे बड़ा समूह है और यह अपने यात्रियों को पूरी दुनिया में बेहतर और आरामदायक यात्रा का अनुभव प्रदान करता है। स्टार एलाइन्स नेटवर्क के माध्यम से 195 देशों के 1328 हवाई अड्डों के लिए प्रतिदिन 21,900 उड़ानों की सुविधा प्रदान की जाती है। वर्तमान में स्टार एयर लाइनों के 13 सदस्य भारत में भी 10 गंतव्यों के लिए अपनी उड़ानें संचालित करते हैं।
स्टार एलाइन्स का सदस्य बन जाने के बाद एयर इंडिया भी दुनियाभर में एलाइन्स नेटवर्क के माध्यम से अपने यात्रियों को शानदार सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराने के साथ-साथ इस समूह के सदस्यों को मिलने वाले लाभों को उपलब्ध करा सकेगा।
स्टार एलाइन्स में एयर इंडिया के शामिल हो जाने से भारतीय विमानन क्षेत्र में महत्वपूर्ण सकारात्मक परिवर्तन आने की उम्मीद की गई है। इससे एयर इंडिया की अंतर्राष्ट्रीय उड़ानों में वृद्धि तो होगी ही साथ ही यात्रियों को समय की पाबंदी के साथ सुचारू और बेहतर संपर्क की सुविधा भी मिल सकेगी।
नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्रालय के अनुसार स्टार एलाइन्स में शामिल होने के बाद एयर इंडिया के राजस्व में चार से पांच प्रतिशत तक की वृद्धि हो सकती है। इसके ग्राहक सीमलेस जर्नी के अलावा माइलेज पॉइंट्स अर्जित करके उनका उपयोग कर सकेंगे और विस्तृत कोड शेयरिंग का भी लाभ उठा सकेंगे |
