Swaraj Abhiyan to Launch Political Party On Sunday[Tomorrow]SA Have Been Hitting “AAP”
Expelled AAP leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan will announce the formation of their new political party tomorrow.
“We had announced that we would be forming the party by October 2, so we will be doing that tomorrow. We will also announce the name of the party,” said a Swaraj Abhiyan leader.
Earlier, on Jul 31, Yogendra Yadav had announced the launching of the new political party by October 2 to provide an “alternative political vehicle”.
Later, a committee was formed to look into the details of the new political party.
Yadav had said, “We were never secretive about going political. A decision to launch a political party was taken with nearly 93 per cent of the delegates at the convention overwhelmingly supporting it.
Yadav, however, had clarified that Swaraj Abhiyan will continue to exist even after the new political party is launched and the two will function independently.
They had hit out at AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal questioning his “supremo style of working” and “lack of transparency” in the party.

The Political Affairs Committee of Aam Aadmi Pary today cleared eight names for MCD bypolls which are expected to be held next month, Its rivals BJP and Congress. Have not disclosed their cards yet.
Contesting in 13 wards will be AAP’s maiden outing in the municipal corporation polls after the party’s stupendous feat in the Assembly election last year when it won 67 out of 70 seats.
Names of candidates to the rest five seats will be declared in the next two days,
The move comes a day after Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan-led Swaraj Abhiyan announced its intention to enter the fray.
Candidates for ward 214 (Khichripur), ward 238 (Jhilmil), ward 67 (Wazirpur), ward 44 (Qamruddin Nagar), ward 136 (Matiala), ward 168 (Nanakpura), ward 176 (Bhati Mines) and ward 124 (Vikas Nagar) have been announced.
They are Yogesh Dedha, Ghanshyam Gaur, Sachin Singhal, Arun Singh Chauhan, Ramesh Matiala, Anil Mallik, Pawan Tanwar and Ashok Saini respectively.
Most of these wards are in South Delhi Municipal Corporation where several councillors have been elected as MLAs.
When asked, Congress said it has asked its local units to send a list of names while BJP said it will declare its list the day poll dates are announced.
The civic bodies are currently controlled by BJP. Fresh full-fledged polls to MCD are expected to take place next year.
In January, the Delhi High Court has ordered bypolls to be held at the earliest.

Party had earlier contested bypolls for Talwandi Sabo + Patiala Assembly seats, but the party suffered a drubbing.
The party now said it does not want to invest its resources in the bypoll, but will focus on the main battle in 2017.
AAP’s Punjab co-convenor Durgesh Pathak said. “What is the point in fielding a candidate when the main elections are few months away? He Added We are focussing on 2017,”
Incidentally, after its resounding success in Lok Sabha polls in Punjab, which gave four MPs to the party, the AAP had contested bypolls for Talwandi Sabo and Patiala Assembly seats, but the party suffered a drubbing.
AAP had, however, won from Patiala Lok Sabha seat just few months back then.
AAP former member Bhai Baldeep Singh has got the support of Swaraj Abhiyan leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, who are formers of the party.
Making it a prestige battle, the SAD is also going out all stops to ensure victory and has fielded Ravinder Singh Brahmpura for the bypoll.

Expelled AAP leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan are mulling to launch a political party and may field candidates for the 2017 Punjab assembly election, at a time when Arvind Kejriwal is pulling out all stops to ensure victory in the state.
Swaraj Abhiyan, a group formed by the duo and their supporters after their expulsion from the AAP, said they are “seriously thinking” about contesting the assembly elections in Punjab.
“We intend to launch a political party soon, but no date has been fixed. But yes, we are seriously thinking about contesting Punjab polls,” a senior Swaraj Abhiyan leader told PTI.
Meanwhile, the party has said it will “back” musician Bhai Baldeep Singh from Khadoor Sahib assembly during by-poll in Punjab next month.
“Swaraj Abhiyan is currently a non-political organisation and we don’t hope to launch the party by next month. Bhai Baldeep Singh will contest as an independent and will be backed by Swaraj Abhiyan. We will be putting all our weight behind him,” he said.
Bhai Baldeep Singh, who is also a part of the national executive of the organisation, said, “Swaraj Abhiyan’s support is crucial for the polls.”
Yadav and other Abhiyan leaders are also expected to campaign for Singh next month.
The decision to support Singh was taken on Sunday. He had contested 2014 Lok Sabha polls on AAP ticket from Khadoor Sahib, but had lost.
The seat fell vacant after Congress MLA Ramanjit Singh Sikki resigned from the Assembly in protest against the sacrilege incidents in the state.

Yadav, founder of “Swaraj Abhiyan” along with lawyer-activist Prashant Bhushan, alleged that he had rushed to the protest site after learning about a police crackdown on farmers who were holding a “peaceful” protest.

“Is standing peacefully with a Hal an offence? We were not obstructing traffic, were willing to cooperate with any reasonable condition.”We found out just now that police has tried to stop our hal satyagraha with heavy force. We are not doing anything wrong,”

Yadav has been leading a protest by farmers from Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan against the government’s proposal to change the way farm land is acquired for infrastructure projects.

[New Delhi] Swaraj Abhiyan Magnetized 90 Farmer Leaders From 13 States On Very 1st Day Of Two Dayer Meeting For Jai Kisan Andolan . A meeting of 90 farmer leaders from 30 farmer’s movement was held today in Delhi with Swaraj Abhiyan national convenor Prof. Anand Kumar and Yogendra Yadav. The 2-day meeting will conclude tomorrow with a resolution for way forward on the Jai Kisan Andolan. The farmer leaders representing at least 13 states of India held a healthy round of discussion on the solutions to issues like land acquisition+remunerative farming +compensation.
Similar meetings have been held in Maharashtra and Karnataka where farmer’s organisation have already extended their full support to Jai Kisan Andolan. Organisations like the Karnataka Rajya Raiyyat Sangha KRSS, led by Chamrasa Mali Patil; Tamilaga Vyavasayagel Sangam led by Dr. Rajriga and the Tamil Nadu Vyavjaye Tevalam Sangham led by MS Selvaraj have declared their support to the Jai Kisan Andolan of Swaraj Abhiyan.

In an offensive against the Delhi government over its recent advertistment, Swaraj Abhiyan leader Yogendra Yadav today accused the AAP government of indulging in “political corruption” by resorting to such means.
Yadav said the government was using public money in glorifying one person despite the restrictions by the Supreme court against such ads.
“This is a form of political corruption as it is using the public money for the advertisments.
“The AAP had come to power by promising new type of politics. But by coming up with such advertisment, it is getting into the league of Mayawati and Jayalalitha,” the former AAP leader, who was expelled from the party after he upped ante against Kejriwal,
Last week, another Swaraj Abhiyaan leader and activists lawyer Prashant Bhushan in a series of tweets said the ad amounted to a “crass” projection of Kejriwal apart from being “crude abuse” of funds, which was “against” a Supreme Court order.
