[New Delhi]At Last K.V. Chowdary And Vijai Sharma are sworn In As CVC And CIC Respectively
At a ceremony held today at 1230 hrs at Rashtrapati Bhavan, K.V. Chowdary was sworn in as the Central Vigilance Commissioner and Vijai Sharma was sworn in as Chief Information Commissioner.

Earlier this month, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party vice president Rahul Gandhi had questioned the delay in appointments of chiefs of CIC, CVC and Lokpal by the Modi government.
Many RTI activists also questioned the delay in appointments.
Tenure of CIC Rajiv Mathur ended on August 22, 2014.
