Senior bureaucrat S K Kohli is appointed as Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA).
The Appointments Committee of Cabinet has approved Kohli’s empanelment for promotion to the post of CGDA,
He is an Indian Defence Accounts Service officer.
The CGDA is mandated to audit+payment+accounting of all charges pertaining to the armed And Its Allied forces, including bills for supplies and services rendered and for construction and repair works, pay and allowances and pensions,

As per Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar centre’s Ujala scheme state may save Rs 5.5 crore
Parsekar Said “We are providing subsidy of Rs 3 per unit to consumers.
The financial liability on government due to this subsidy comes to around Rs 11 crore annually,” he told a gathering after distributing LED bulbs at a function
The CM said if consumers switch over to LED bulbs, the state will save Rs 5.5 crores, which otherwise it will have to pay to subsidise the power.
Parsekar apprised that Central government has provided LED bulbs at the cost of Rs 76 each under the scheme.
“But Goa government decided to provide three LED bulbs free of cost to each consumer,”
He said the LED bulbs would be distributed across 220 to 222 places in the state.
The government on Wednesday had announced that it will provide 15 lakh free LED bulbs to 4.89 lakh consumers.

पुलिस ने आप नेता आशीष खेतान के खिलाफ धार्मिक भावनाओं को कथित तौर पर ठेस पहुंचाने के आरोप में एक मामला दर्ज किया है।
खेतान के खिलाफ यह मामला पंजाब विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए आम आदमी पार्टी द्वारा युवाओं के लिए अपने घोषणापत्र को जारी करने के दौरान इसे धार्मिक पुस्तकों के समकक्ष बताने के लिए माफी मांगे जाने के एक दिन बाद दर्ज किया गया।
अमृतसर के सिविल लाइन्स पुलिस थाने में बीती रात खेतान के खिलाफ आई पी सी की धारा 295 ए :के तहत एक मामला दर्ज किया गया है।यह धारा किसी वर्ग के धर्म या धार्मिक आस्थाओं का अपमान कर उसकी धार्मिक भावनाओं को ठेस पहुंचाने के इरादे से जानबूझकर और दुर्भावनापूर्ण कृत्यों को अंजाम देने पर लगाईं जाती है
पुलिस आयुक्त :अमृतसर: अमर सिंह चहल के अनुसार यह मामला अखिल भारतीय सिख छात्र संघ [एआईएसएसएफ]के अध्यक्ष करनैल सिंह पीर मोहम्मद की शिकायत पर कल दर्ज किया गया।
शिकायत के अनुसार, आप नेता ने अपने ‘युवाओं के लिए घोषणापत्र’ को अमृतसर में जारी करते समय इसे ‘गुरूग्रंथ साहिब’ तथा अन्य धार्मिक पुस्तकों के समकक्ष बता कर लोगों की धार्मिक भावनाओं को ठेस पहुंचाई है।
