कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता शमशेर सिंह सुरजेवाला ने दिल्ली के एम्स अस्पताल में अंतिम सांस ली।
शमशेर सिंह पांच बार विधायक चुने गए थे और वह एक बार राज्यसभा सदस्य चुने गए। वह हरियाणा कांग्रेस के पूर्व अध्यक्ष और पूर्व मंत्री भी रहे।शमशेर सिंह कांग्रेस के नेता और प्रवक्ता रणदीप सुरजेवाला के पिता थे
वह हरियाणा कृषक समाज के अध्यक्ष थे और उन्होंने किसानों के अधिकारों के लिए लड़ाई लड़ी।
शमशेर सिंह सुरजेवाला का अंतिम संस्कार हरियाणा के नरवाना में दोपहर को किया जाएगा।

दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने रविवार को एक गारंटी कार्ड जारी किया जिसमें 10 वादे सूचीबद्ध किये गए हैं। इन वादों में छात्रों के लिए मुफ्त बस सफर और महिलाओं की सुरक्षा के लिए ‘‘मोहल्ला मार्शल’’ की तैनाती शामिल है जो उनकी पार्टी ‘आप’ दिल्ली में फिर से चुनकर आने पर पूरे करेगी।
कार्ड ‘‘केजरीवाल की 10 गारंटी’’ में
200 यूनिट तक की बिजली मुफ्त योजना जारी रखने,
मुफ्त स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएं,
दो करोड़ पौधे लगाने,
स्वच्छ यमुना नदी और
अगले पांच वर्ष के दौरान दिल्ली में प्रदूषण कम करने का वादा शामिल है।
केजरीवाल ने कहा, ‘‘मैं दिल्ली के लोगों को 10 गारंटी दे रहा हूं। यह कोई घोषणापत्र नहीं है। हम वृहद घोषणापत्र अगले सात से 10 दिनों में जारी करेंगे। घोषणापत्र में और चीजें होंगी, विशेष तौर पर छात्रों, शिक्षकों आदि के लिए। यह सभी के लिए होगा।’’
उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘विपक्ष कह रहा है कि हमारी कई योजनाएं 31 मार्च तक ही चलेंगी, इसलिए यह हमारी गारंटी है कि ये योजनाएं अगले पांच वर्षों तक चलती रहेंगी। 24 घंटे बिजली जारी रहेगी और 200 यूनिट बिजली मुफ्त योजना भी जारी रहेगी।’’
‘‘गारंटी कार्ड’’ में 11 हजार से अधिक बसें और दिल्ली मेट्रो नेटवर्क की लंबाई 500 किलोमीटर से अधिक बढ़ाने का वादा भी शामिल है।
केजरीवाल ने कार्ड उस पर हस्ताक्षर करने के बाद इसे जारी किया।

Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has sought a report from the CPI(M) led Left Democratic Front government for moving the Supreme Court against the Citizenship Amendment Act without informing him.
The office of Raj Bhavan sought the report from the state Chief Secretary of the state.
The Governor has been at loggerheads with the government ever since the state assembly passed a resolution last month, seeking to scrap the new law.
Khan had also publicly expressed his displeasure over the government not informing him moving moving the Supreme Court against the CAA.

Patel was arrested on Saturday night from Viramgam taluka in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad district for failing to appear before a trial court in connection with the sedition case, hours after a warrant was issued against him.

संशोधित नागरिकता कानून (सीएए) और राष्ट्रीय नागरिकता पंजी (एनआरसी) के विरोध में पुराने लखनऊ में महिलाओं का प्रदर्शन कड़ाके की ठंड के बावजूद रविवार को तीसरे दिन भी जारी है।
खुले आसमान के नीचे पिछले शुक्रवार से बड़ी संख्या में महिलाएं दिल्ली के शाहीन बाग की तर्ज पर पुराने लखनऊ स्थित घंटाघर के सामने प्रदर्शन कर रही हैं। उनके साथ बच्चे भी हैं।
इन महिलाओं का कहना है कि सरकार जब तक सीएए और एनआरसी को वापस नहीं लेती है, तब तक वे धरना समाप्त नहीं करेंगी। महिलाओं के धरने को सामाजिक संगठनों और आम नागरिकों का भी समर्थन मिल रहा है सिख समुदाय के कुछ लोगों ने शनिवार रात धरना स्थल पर पहुंचकर महिलाओं को खाने पीने का सामान दिया।
महिलाओं ने शनिवार रात पुलिसकर्मियों को गुलाब के फूल भेंट कर अनूठे तरीके से प्रदर्शन किया।
इस बीच, धरना दे रही महिलाओं का आरोप है कि पुलिस ने रात में पहुंचकर उनसे कंबल छीन लिए और वह खाने पीने का सामान भी अपने साथ ले गई।

The incident took place near Khalapur, over 60 km from Mumbai, when the Tata Safari car in which they were traveling to Pune rammed into a truck, said Raigad Superintendent of Police Anil Paraskar.
A local police official said the car driver was apparently trying to overtake another vehicle and rammed into the truck.
