(Liluah(WB) West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar was shown black flags on Saturday evening by alleged Trinamool Congress members at a college at Liluah in Howrah district.
The alleged TMC workers also carried banners with slogans like ‘Shame shame Governor’ which they waved at Dhankkhar’s convoy when it was entering the college.
The governor has been at loggerheads with the Mamata Banerjee government over several issues.

Jammu and Kashmir administration has approved Leave Travel Concession (LTC) in favour of its employees benefitting over 3.5 lakh regular government employees working in the Union Territory.
A notification prescribing the mandatory rules has already been issued by the General Administrative Department in this regard, an official spokesman said on Saturday.
,As per the rules a government employee along with the family can travel to any place in India once in a block of four years and to his home town once in a block of two years.
The rules, as per the notification, would be deemed to have come into force from October 31

विदेशी कर्मचारियों के लिए एच-1बी वीजा का आवेदन करने वाली कंपनियों को ऑनलाइन पंजीकरण कराना होगा और 10 डॉलर का शुल्क देना होगा।
अमेरिका की नागरिकता एवं आव्रजन सेवा अगले वित्त वर्ष के लिए एक अप्रैल 2020 से एच-1बी वीजा आवेदन लेना शुरू करेगी।
यूएससीआईएस के अनुसार इलेक्ट्रॉनिक पंजीकरण प्रक्रिया से कागजी काम कम होगा और आवेदनकर्ताओं का पैसा भी बचेगा।

Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Anita Karwal, promoted to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) on Friday.
The services of Karwal will continue to be at the same post till she is transferred by the Centre.
The other three officers who have been promoted are: Managing Director of Gujarat State Warehousing Corporation (GSWC) Sanjay Nandan,
Chief Executive Officer of Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA) Anuradha Mall and
Principal Secretary in Energy and Petrochemical Department of the Gujarat government Panjak Joshi.
The three officers will continue at the same post, which they are presently serving,

Four persons arrested in connection with rape-and-murder of a woman veterinarian near here last month were killed in an encounter with police Friday morning, police said.
“The four accused were killed in an encounter with police,” Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar said.
Two policemen were also injured in the incident, a senior police official said.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar accused Punjab of “misleading” on the Sutlej-Yamuna link canal despite the apex court ruling in their favour.
He said this during a review meeting on the canal issue.
The chief minister was informed that chief secretaries of both states would be meeting the central water secretary in New Delhi on December 6 over the issue.
Khattar also slammed the neighbouring state on stubble burning.
“Punjab is misleading the country by targeting Haryana on the issue of stubble burning and holding the state responsible for increasing pollution,” he said.
In September 2019, the Supreme Court had given four months to Punjab, Haryana and the Centre to find an amicable solution to the SYL canal issue.
Haryana has been seeking the completion of the canal to get its share of 3.5 million acre feet of river waters.

Leaders cutting across party lines on Thursday agreed to such a suggestion from Speaker Om Birla
The waiver of subsidies will result in saving around Rs 17 crore annually,
Out of the total subsidy of Rs 17 crore, Rs 14 crore is at present availed by Parliament staff and others who visit the premises while Rs 3 crore is by MPs.
The subsidies in these canteens have long been a contentious issue and the government had reduced them a few years ago following a hue and cry after it came to light that Parliament canteens were being subsidised to the extent of 80 per cent of the cost.
Following a meeting the Speaker had with floor leaders of different parties of Business Advisory Committee, a decision was taken to do away with subsidies altogether.
There are currently five canteens in the Parliament complex run by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation.

The teacher’s daughter, who studies in the school, was accompanying her at the time of the incident,
Kaur used to teach Punjabi and French at the private school.

14. 5 K NGOs, registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), were banned in the last five years from receiving funds from abroad, Rajya Sabha was informed on Wednesday.
Union minister of state for home Nityanand Rai also said so far this year, the ministry has cancelled FCRA registration of 1,808 NGOs.
The minister said the FCRA registered NGOs in the country have received a total of Rs 2,244.77 crore in 2018-19 (as on November 28) and Rs 16,902.41 crore in 2017-18.
