(New Delhi)Rahul &Priyanka Visited P Chidambaram in Tihar
Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited the Tihar jail to meet former finance minister P Chidambaram.
The senior Congress leader was first arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on August 21 in the INX Media corruption case and was granted bail by the Supreme Court on October 22.
He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case on October 16 and is in judicial custody till November 27 under the order of a trial court.

महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फडणवीस की पत्नी अमृता फडणवीस ने मंगलवार को शायरी के जरिए कहा कि हम वापसी करेंगे।
पेशे से बैंकर अमृता ने ट्वीट किया, ‘‘पलट के आऊंगी शाखों पे खुशबुएं लेकर, खिजां की जद में हूं मौसम ज़रा बदलने दे!’’
उन्होंने महाराष्ट्र के लोगों का आभार जताया। अमृता ने कहा, ‘‘आपकी वहिनी के तौर पर यादगार पांच साल के लिए आप सबका शुक्रिया।’’
मराठी में भाई की पत्नी को ‘वहिनी’ कहा जाता है ।
Fadnavis Resigns

Fadnavis, sworn in only three days ago, announced at a press conference on Tuesday that he was going to resign as with deputy chief minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar stepping down, the BJP does not have a majority in the Assembly.

पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री डॉ मनमोहन सिंह ने मंगलवार को कहा कि मौजूदा सरकार में ‘‘संवैधानिक मूल्य सुरक्षित नहीं हैं।’’ सिंह ने संसद परिसर में संवाददाताओं से कहा, ‘‘उच्चतम न्यायालय ने जो भी फैसला दिया है उसका सम्मान होना चाहिए।’’ नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार पर निशाना साधते हुए उन्होंने यह भी कहा, ‘‘ जिस तरह से केंद्र सरकार ने महाराष्ट्र में कदम उठाया है उससे साफ है कि मौजूदा शासन के हाथों में संवैधानिक मूल्य सुरक्षित नहीं हैं।’’ उच्चतम न्यायालय ने मंगलवार को निर्देश दिया कि महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेन्द्र फडणवीस बुधवार को विधानसभा में अपना बहुमत सिद्ध करें।
न्यायमूर्ति एन वी रमण, न्यायमूर्ति अशोक भूषण और न्यायमूर्ति संजीव खन्ना की तीन सदस्यीय खंडपीठ ने कहा कि विधायकों की खरीद फरोख्त से बचने के लिए यह जरूरी है।

Renowned cartoonist Sudhir Dhar, whose works graced several newspapers in a career spanning 58 years, died on Tuesday morning after suffering a cardiac arrest
He was 87.
Dhar began his career with The Statesman in 1961 after which he moved to Hindustan Times.
His cartoons have also appeared in The Independent, The Pioneer, Delhi Times, New York Times, Washington Post and Saturday Review among others.

पराली जलाने पर प्रतिबंध लगाने के आदेशों के बावजूद इसे जलाने का सिलसिला बदस्तूर जारी रहने पर उच्चतम न्यायालय ने सोमवार को पंजाब और हरियाणा को आड़े हाथ लिया। न्यायालय ने कहा कि वायु प्रदूषण की वजह से दिल्ली के लोगों को मरने के लिये नहीं छोड़ा जा सकता।
न्यायमूर्ति अरूण मिश्रा और न्यायमूर्ति दीपक गुप्ता की पीठ ने पराली जलाने पर अंकुश लगाने में इन राज्यों के विफल रहने पर नाराजगी व्यक्त की और कहा, ‘‘क्या इसे बर्दाश्त किया जाना चाहिए? क्या यह आंतरिक युद्ध से कहीं ज्यादा बदतर नहीं है? बेहतर होगा कि आप इन सभी को विस्फोट से खत्म कर दें।’’
शीर्ष अदालत ने दिल्ली में जल और वायु प्रदूषण के मसले पर एक दूसरे पर आरोप-प्रत्यारोप लगाने के लिये केन्द्र और राज्यों को भी फटकार लगायी।

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday said his government will build a Bharat Mata Temple in the holy city, besides boosting its infrastructure to provide all facilities to visiting pilgrims.
Addressing a news conference here amid the ongoing International Gita Mahotsav-2019 there, Khattar said the temple will be built in Kurukshetra over five acres of land at some place between Jyotisar and Brahamsarovar.
The International Gita Mahotsav, which began here on November 23, will last till December 10.
Naming various upcoming temples and other religious and cultural institutions like Giogita Sansthanam, Akshardham Temple, ISKCON temple and Gyan Mandir, the chief minister said the construction of these institutions would impart a distinct, international identity to Kurukshetra.
The chief minister also told reporters that Uttarakhand was a “partner state” for the ‘Mahotsav’ this year, while 15 countries are participating in the event.
