Instructions for this were issued by District Magstrate Abhishek Prakash on Wednesday.
The Haj House is located in the Sarojini Nagar area of Lucknow. Haj pilgrims stay here before embarking on their journey.
The DM said in a tweet that 1,000 beds will be set up there while maintaining all coronavirus-related protocols.
The DM instructed the zonal officer of the Lucknow Municipal Corporation to ensure cleanliness at the centre.
He also directed to provide nutritious food to patients to be admitted there

Council of Ministers led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday gave the go-ahead to increase the Mutation Fee from Rs.300 to Rs.600. The decision would help add nearly Rs. 10 crore to the state exchequer.
The Chief Minister also asked the Revenue Department to launch a special campaign for clearing all pending mutations in the interest of landowners.

As measuring of oxygen saturation level is one of the most important parameters for monitoring the health of COVID-19 patients, Ministry of Defence (MoD), Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DSEW) has decided to reimburse the cost of pulse oximeter purchased by the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) beneficiaries subject to the following conditions:
(a) The ECHS beneficiaries who have been tested positive for COVID-19 infection are permitted to purchase one pulse oximeter per family. In other words, in case there are more than one COVID positive cases in a family of ECHS beneficiary, they can claim reimbursement only for one pulse oximeter.
(b) The reimbursement shall be claimed as per actual cost of pulse oximeter, subject to a ceiling of Rs 1,200.

The opposition Shiromani Akali Dal on Tuesday held statewide protests against the hike in fuel prices, alleged liquor scam and illegal mining in Punjab.
Leading a protest in Mohali’s Zirakpur, SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal demanded that the Punjab government slash fuel prices by Rs 10 a litre.
Once the Punjab government reduces fuel prices by Rs 10 per litre, we will ask the Centre to do the same, the SAD president said, adding that they have already written to PM Narendra Modi to cut central excise duty on fuel.
Badal said that the state should compensate private schools by submitting their six months’ fee in advance.
Meanwhile, former minister Bikram Singh Majithia in Amritsar said diesel is the costliest in Punjab when compared with neighbouring states.
Majithia demanded a central probe into the embezzlement and wrongful distribution of ration by the Congress government.
He alleged that the ration sent by the Centre for 1.40 crore people was diverted to Congressmen who embezzled it and sold it on the open market.
At Rupnagar, senior leader Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said the SAD was forced to come out and hold dharnas because the Congress-led government were following anti-people policies.
He alleged the sand mafia has been given a free hand by the Congress government due to which Congressmen were enriching themselves at the cost of the state treasury.

As per During the last 24 hours 3,46,459 samples have been tested. The cumulative number of samples tested, as of now is 1,01,35,525.
This achievement has also been possible by the continuously expanding network of testing labs throughout the country. As on date, more than 1105 labs have enables people to undergo COVID tests. There are 788 labs in the government sector and 317 private labs. The various kinds of tests for COVID-19 and the labs providing these are as follows:
• Real-Time RT PCR based testing labs: 592 (Govt: 368 + Private: 224)

E Registration Mandatory for Road Travellers Entering Punjab

Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Govt has strongly advised road travellers entering or transiting through Punjab to self-register, either through COVA app or through a weblink, https://cova.punjab.gov.in/registration, before embarking on the journey. The objective of e-registration is to avoid any inconvenience to the travellers due to crowding and long queues at the border check points.
After registration the primary traveller will receive a confirmation link through SMS.
This will be followed by basic medical screening. After successful medical screening, the process is over. In case a passenger exhibits Covid symptoms, the health staff at the Border Check Point will assist and guide the passenger(s).

form no. 7 for getting the name struck off from the electoral rolls.
District Electoral Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said that the persons can also contact the BLOs of their constituency or the Electoral Registration Officers cum SDM and fill up a form so that the data relating to the people still not enrolled as voters, those deceased or shifted, can be compiled.
