America Celebrates Read Day,Trump Inspires To Learn

(Washington)America Celebrates Read Day,PresidentTrump Inspires To Learn
As millions of students across the United States celebrate Read Across America Day, President Of USA Donald Trump Says that Melania and I are pleased to join them in celebrating the wonders of reading and literature, while also honoring our Nation’s outstanding educators, librarians, and families who support America’s remarkable young people.
Read Across America Day is a celebration of the joys of literacy and an important reminder that we must make every effort to ensure that our Nation’s children receive the necessary education in reading and writing to cultivate the skills they need to pursue their American Dream.
To help all of America’s students unlock their full potential in the classroom, my Administration emphasized the importance of education and literacy in our most recent budget by investing $19.4 billion in a new education block grant. This critical funding will allow States and school districts to focus on the needs of their students, including literacy and language arts, and will make a difference in the lives of students in communities across our Nation, empowering them with the tools and knowledge to fuel successful careers and fulfilling lives.
In classrooms, libraries, and homes around our country, literature provides children with the inspiration to learn and grow. On this Read Across America Day, we recall the motivational words of Dr. Seuss—an American icon of literature—and impart his wisdom on our Nation’s young people: “You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so…get on your way!”

Two Rowdies To Address 50K Indo Americans in”Howdi Modi” at Houston

[Washington]Two Rowdies To Address 50K Indo Americans in”Howdi Modi” at Houston
Leaders Of Two Largest Democracies To Address 50K Indo Americans
at Houston’s mega “Howdy, Modi!” event on September 22
This is for the first time in recent history that the leaders of the two largest democracies Donald J Trump and Narendra Modi would be addressing a joint rally anywhere in the world.
More than 50,000 Indian-Americans from across the US have registered for the September 22 mega “Howdy, Modi! Shared Dreams, Bright Futures” event to be held at the sprawling NRG Stadium in Houston.
“Howdy”, short for ‘How do you do?’, is a friendly greeting commonly used in southwestern United States.
This would be the third meeting between the two leaders this year. The previous two were on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in June in Japan and in France in July on the sidelines of the G7 Summit.
In October 2016, Trump, then as Republican presidential nominee, had addressed a strong crowd of some 5,000 Indian-Americans in New Jersey, a few weeks away from his historic win in the November 2016 elections.
So far, Trump is the only presidential candidate to address the Indian-Americans solely during an election year. In his address, Trump had said that if elected, he would be the best friend of India in the White House.
The Houston event will be Modi’s third major address to the Indian-American community after he became the prime minister in 2014 and the first after his re-election in May.
The previous two were at the Madison Square Garden in New York in 2014 and the Silicon Valley in 2016. Both the events were attended by more than 20,000 people.
The “Howdy, Modi!” event is being organised by non-profit Texas India Forum, a recently-formed representative body of hundreds of Indian American organisations in Texas and other parts of the US.

Indo-American Judge Mehta Jolts White House : Trump A/C Firm

[Washington] Indo-American Judge Mehta Jolts White House : Trump A/C Firm Hand Over Records to Congress :Indo-American Judge To Trump A/C Firm
As per CNN Reports Judge Amit Mehta told the accounting firm that it will need to turn over Trump’s accounting records from before he was president to the Democratic-controlled House Oversight Committee,
The Trump administration recently issued a blanket denial of all Democrats’ subpoena requests, saying the information they seek is politically motivated. Democrats, on the other hand, say the administration’s actions amount to an unprecedented attempt to block Congress from its constitutionally mandated oversight.
Mehta noted that in the past 50 years, Congress had twice investigated a sitting president for alleged criminal activity before starting impeachment proceedings Richard Nixon during the Watergate scandal, and Bill Clinton during the Whitewater scandal.
Mehta’s opinion, coming not even a week after a hearing in the case, will kickstart a race to appeals courts.
