प्रदेश के १२ विधायकों से व्हाट्सप पर फिरौती की मांग की गई है जिसकी जांच के लिए स्पेशल इन्वेस्टीगेशन टीम का गठन कर दिया गया है|इन धमकी भरे संदेशों में प्रत्येक से तीन दिन में १० लाख रु देने को कहा गया है अन्यथा उनके परिवार को समाप्त करने की धमकी दी गई है|पुलिस के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी के अनुसार भोपाल के एक पत्रकार और दिल्ली +राजस्थान में भी ऐसे सन्देश मिले हैं |पुलिस के अनुसार प्रथम दृष्टया ये आतंक [पैनिक] फ़ैलाने के लिए षड्यंत्र हो सकता है

[New Delhi]PM Modi Encourages Women Officers Of Tarini to Write Their Unique Experiences
Six women officers of the Indian Navy, who successfully circumnavigated the globe on the sailing vessel, INSV Tarini, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.
The expedition, known as the Navika Sagar Parikrama, was the first-ever Indian circumnavigation of the globe by an all-women crew.
During the interaction, the crew made a presentation on various aspects of the mission, their preparation, training, and experiences during the journey.
The Prime Minister congratulated the crew on the success of their mission. He encouraged them to share and write about their unique experiences during the journey. Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Sunil Lanba, was present on the occasion.
The vessel was skippered by Lt. Commander Vartika Joshi, and the crew also comprised Lt. Commanders Pratibha Jamwal,
P Swathi, and
Lieutenants S Vijaya Devi,
B Aishwarya and
Payal Gupta.

अकाल तख्त ने यह कहते हुए ‘ सिख सेंसर बोर्ड ’ का गठन किया है कि अब सिखों से संबंधित और उनके धर्म से संबंधित फिल्म बनाने से पहले फिल्मनिर्माताओं को यहां से मंजूरी लेनी होगी।
पिछले महीने ‘ नानक शाह फकीर ’ फिल्म के रिलीज को लेकर उपजे विवाद के बाद यह कदम उठाया गया है। यह फिल्म सिखों के पहले गुरु पर बनी है।
शिरोमणि गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक समिति (एसजीपीसी) ने इस फिल्म की रिलीज पर रोक लगाने के लिए उच्चतम न्यायालय का दरवाजा खटखटाया था लेकिन न्यायालय ने इस पर रोक लगाने से इंकार कर दिया था।
बोर्ड की सिफारिश के बाद अकाल तख्त वृत्तचित्र (डॉक्यूमेंट्री) या एनिमेशन फिल्म के बारे में अंतिम फैसला लेगा।

As per Ministry Of Tourism,FTAs in April 2018 were 7,49,477 as compared to 7,17,899 in April 2017 registering a growth of 4.4%.
During the month of April, 2018 a total of 1,57,094 tourist arrived on e-Tourist Visa as compared to 1,14,469 during the month of April, 2017 registering a growth of 37.2%.

A group of inmates at the central jail protested against a search operation launched by the jail authorities
Prisoners in barrack number eight protested against “frequent” searches by the jail authorities
Notably, last year around 150 inmates, including hardened criminals, of the Gurdaspur jail had run amok.
They had made the jailbreak bid by breaking portion of the outer wall of the jail, which was thwarted by the police.
The inmates also broke locks of jail barracks, besides destroying CCTVs, mobile jammers and setting ablaze the quilts and furniture.
Violence had erupted in the Gurdaspur jail after two groups of under trials clashed with each other.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Samar Vishal granted relief to BJP MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa saying he was facing this case for about three years for the commission of act which is not even an offence.
In its order,
Sirsa had told the court that since the hoarding was affixed on the electricity pole and there was no defacement of the public property.
According to the FIR lodged in January 2015, the accused had put up an election hoarding in Rajouri Garden of west Delhi area asking for votes.
If convicted, the accused could have been punished with a maximum of one-year imprisonment or a Rs 50,000 fine or both.

As per State Vigilance Bureau , Jaspal Singh, Patwari posted at Halqa Kila Haqima in Sangrur district was nabbed red handed by Vigilance team for accepting bribe of Rs. 15,000 from complainant Kulwant Singh of village Dhandiwal in Sangrur district.
The Complainant has approached the VB that the accused Patwari was demanding Rs. 15,000 to change the ownership of a land. After verifying his information, the Vigilance team laid a trap and the accused Patwari was arrested on the spot while accepting bribe of Rs. 15,000/- from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses
