(Lucknow,UP) National Integration Award Goes to PTI’s Subhashis Mittra
This prestigious Award is given in recognition of Mittra’s achievements in the field of journalism over a span of four decades.
He was among seven personalities who received the award given annually by Himachal Pradesh’s oldest organisation ‘The Himotkarsh Parishad’.
Mittra, who joined the Press Trust of India in the early 80s and has served the organisation in a variety of roles, bagged the ‘Shresth Patrakarita’ award for his contributions in the field of journalism and serving the society and the nation through his writings.

राजस्थान में इस साल हज यात्रा के लिए अल्पसंख्यक मामलों के मंत्री शाले मोहम्मद ने शासन सचिवालय में आनलाइन लॉटरी निकालने की शुरुआत की।
इस अवसर उन्होंने बताया कि हज यात्रा 2020 के लिए कुल 8241 आवेदन प्राप्त हुए हैं जिनमें सामान्य वर्ग के 7631 और आरक्षित वर्ग के 580 आवेदक हैं । कुल 4749 हाजियों का कुर्रा निकाला गया है।

The BJP on Friday swept the mayoral polls of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation with its candidate Raj Bala Malik being elected as the new city mayor.
Malik, an advocate, trounced Congress nominee Gurbax Rawat, She was polled 22 votes while Rawat got five votes
Malik was the city mayor in 2012 and at that time she was with the Congress.
She switched over to the BJP in 2016.
Ravi Kant Sharma defeated Congress candidate Sheela Phool Singh in the election for the post of the senior deputy Mayor.
Saffron party’s Jagtar Singh bagged the post of the deputy mayor after defeating Congress’ Ravinder Gujral.
The mayor’s post this year was reserved for a woman candidate.
A mayor has a one-year term in Chandigarh.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has the majority in the 27-member of the MC House with 20 councillors while the Congress has five councillors.
The BJP’s ally Shiromani Akali Dal also has one councillor.
Local MP Kirron Kher is an ex-officio member of the House.
In order to be elected as a mayor, a nominee needs 14 votes.

यह फिल्म तेजाब पीड़िता लक्ष्मी अग्रवाल के जीवन पर आधारित है।

“On the instructions of the national president, Samajwadi Party will show ‘Chapaak’ film to its workers. A hall has been booked in Lucknow for this,” said a tweet on the party’s official Twitter handle.

The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath took to Twitter to make the announcement, saying the movie gives a “positive message to the society about acid attack survivors.”
“I declare Deepika Padukone-starrer ‘Chhapaak’, the film based on acid attack survivors and set for release on January 10, as tax free in Madhya Pradesh,” Nath tweeted.
Padukone visited the JNU campus in Delhi on Tuesday to express solidarity with students who were attacked by a mob, but did not address the gathering.
After her JNU visit, many appreciated her “silent solidarity”, but some others criticised her for “supporting Leftists”, saying it was a promotional stunt ahead of her film’s release.
“#Boycott Chhapaak” was also trending on Twitter, as was “#ISupportDeepika”.

“Panipat, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, will be tax free in Maharashtra, the makers of the film announced on Thursday.
Featuring Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon, the film which is based on the third battle of Panipat that took place in 1761, released on December 6, 2019.
Gowariker took to Twitter to thank the state government for its decision.
