Government Of India has shown concern Of The Welfare of Persons of Indian Origin Abroad
Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Shri Vayalar Ravi in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today said that The Government is very much concern of the welfare of persons of Indian origin abroad.
Indian Missions/Posts will remain in touch with the local authorities and sensitize them of their concern about attacks on Indian and their safety.
The Minister Stated that Indian missions render necessary/consular assistance to the victims/families.
The Indian Missions/Posts facilitate the transportation of the mortal remains of the body to India if necessary.
Assistance is also given from Indian Community Welfare fund by the Indian Missions/Posts where necessary.
