(New Delhi) Sikh Personalities from Punjab Makes BJP Rich By Joining
Those who joined the party in presence of Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat included Jaswinder Singh Dhillon, former Guru Kashi university vice chancellor, Harinder Singh Kahlon, Jagmohan Singh Saini and Nirmal Singh Mohali, all advocates with experience in different spheres of public work.
Kahlon has been associated with the welfare of Sikh students while Saini and Mohali have worked for farmers’ welfare, BJP spokesperson Iqbal Singh Lalpura said.
Kuldeep Singh Kahlon and Col Jaibans Singh (retd) also joined the party.

Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Friday announced Malerkotla as the state’s new district and noted that a long-pending demand of the people has been fulfilled.
Malerkotla will be the 23rd district of the state.
Addressing a state-level function virtually to greet the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, the chief minister also announced a
medical college for Malerkotla,
a women’s college,
a new bus stand and a women police station.
Malerkotla, a Muslim majority town, was till now part of Sangrur district and is located nearly 35 km from the district headquarters in Sangrur.
CM said at the time of the country’s Independence Punjab had 13 districts.
Malerkotla city, Amargarh and Ahmedgarh will also come under the limits of Malerkotla.
According Malerkotla a district status was a pre-poll promise of the Congress

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee the apex religious body of the Sikhs on Friday decided to work with 50 per cent staff at its offices, which will remain closed on weekends.
The decision has been taken in the wake of a surge in coronavirus cases and the SGPC urged devotees to follow Health Department guidelines while visiting gurdwaras.
