[New Delhi]Auto-Lifter Daya Shankar Arrested
Two stolen motor cycles and two stolen scooters.are also recovered
West District’s Anti-Auto Theft Squad have arrested an active auto-lifter and Proclaimed Offender namely Daya Shankar @ Raju (44 Years)
The accused was subjectedto sustained interrogation to know about his involvement in other cases. Duringinterrogation, he disclosed that he has studied upto 12th standard.Thereafter, he left studies and fell in bad company. He remained involved inmany criminal cases in past. He is B.C. of Police Station Anand Parvat, Delhi.Now-a- days, he was indulged in motor vehicle theft. He added that he hadstolen one another motorcycle and two scooters, which are kept by him in anearby vacant plot. Accordingly, one Hero Honda motorcycle stolen vide e-FIRNo. 11894/16, dated 22/04/2016, U/S 379 IPC, e-Police Station M.V. theft, CrimeBranch (area P.S. Karol Bagh), Delhi and two scooters stolen vide FIR No.659/15, dated 23/04/2015, U/S 379 IPC, P.S. Tilak Nagar, Delhi and e-FIR No.13528/16, dated 07/05/2016, U/S 379 IPC, e-Police Station M.V. theft, CrimeBranch (area P.S. South Rohini), Delhi were also recovered at his instance. Further,he disclosed that he had stolen these vehicles to further sell them to earnmoney easily and quickly.
As per Dy Commissioner Vijay Kumar, He is involved in more than 50 criminal cases.
