[New Delhi] CISF Seized Unauthorized Foreign Currency @ Rs 1Cr at IGI Airport
Foreign currency worth more than Rs 1 crore have been seized from a Delhi resident at the Indira Gandhi International Airport
As per Cisf Officials this incident took place late last night when CISF security personnel apprehended A Nagpal, who was supposed to take an Air India flight to Mumbai.
“On scanning Nagpal’s baggage, currencies worth
Euro 62,550,
USD 39,500 and
Japanese Yen 60,00,000
were recovered.
Indian equivalent of the foreign currency is Rs 1,11,13,657.
CISF spokesperson Hemendra Singh said that Case is transferred to Income Tax department .
