The Tourism Ministry has sanctioned Rs 99.86 crores for the ‘Integrated Development of Eco-Tourism Circuit’ in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana.
Telangana Tourism Corporation has proposed a tourism circuit highlighting the scenic beauty of the region, covering forests, tiger reserve and wildlife, waterfalls, caves, rivers and reservoirs and ancient temples, taking care to incorporate tourist-friendly amenities and infrastructure, including a water-sports hub at Singottam reservoir, to make it a must-see destination.
The advantage of the eco-tourism circuit, apart from its natural beauty, is the existing well-developed connectivity. The well-connected Hyderabad city is followed by the easily accessible NH-44 and State Highway upto Kollapur/Singottam/Somasila.
Following the initiative taken earlier by Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) Chairman Pervaram Ramulu and the tourism department, the project was sanctioned under Swadesh Darshan Mission 2015-16, an official release said
