jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra has appointed Prof Sanjeev Jain as the new Vice Chancellor of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra.
Prof Jain, Presently is Director of Madhav Institute of Technology and Science (MITS), Gwalior,
Prof Jain has been appointed Vice Chancellor for a period of three years with effect from the date he takes over the charge,
He was selected by a Committee headed by Dr R Chidambaram, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Union government.
His work on digital watermarking for image authentication is highly valued in the research field.
Under his leadership, MITS was selected for a World Bank assistance in 2012 with a grant of Rs 10 crore for its development.
