अन्तराष्ट्रीय ओलम्पिक कमेटी ने कुश्ती इवेंट को समाप्त करके मैडल जीतने की भारतीय उम्मीदों को अखाड़े से बाहर किया

अंतरराष्ट्रीय ओलम्पिक समिति (आईओसी) ने अपने विशेष पेटेंट दावं से कुश्ती की प्रतिस्पर्धा को चित किया और २०२० में होने वाले ओलम्पिक खेलों में मैडल जीतने की भारतीय उम्मीदों को अखाड़े से बाहर कर दिया |इस फैसले से भारतीय कुश्ती जगत में हैरानी और आश्चर्य व्याप्त है | स्विटजरलैंड में आयोजित आई ओ सी की बैठक में यह ओलम्पियन दावं खेला गया है| लंदन ओलिंपिक खेलों के रजत पदक विजेता सुशील कुमार ने कहा, ‘मुझे यकीन नहीं हो रहा है इस तरह का फैसला किया गया है। मैं ऐसा कोई कारण नहीं देखता जिससे 2020 ओलिंपिक खेलों से कुश्ती खेल को हटाया जाए।
1952 से अब तक भारत ने ओलंपिक में कुश्ती स्पर्धा में 4 पदक जीते हैं। सुशील कुमार के अलावा के जी जाधव और योगेश्वर दत्त ओलंपिक के पदक विजेता रहे हैं। 2020 के ओलंपिक के लिए अभी से युवा खिलाड़ियों को तैयार किया जा रहा था लेकिन इसी बीच ये बुरी खबर सामने आई है। पूर्व पहलवान इसे एक साजिश के तौर पर देख रहे हैं|
गौरतलब है कि भारतीय ओलंपिक संघ की सदस्यता रद्द है।और अंतरराष्ट्रीय ओलंपिक मंच पर भारत की ओर से आवाज उठाने वाला कोई नहीं है।उल्लेखनीय है की यह कुश्ती की प्रतिस्पर्धा पौराणिक काल से भारत के ग्रामीण अंचलों के साथ शहरों में भी लोकप्रिय है|इसीलिए भारत सरकार को स्वयम आगे आ कर विरोध जताना चाहिए
