इस जघन्य हत्या के खिलाफ चतरा शहर में बंद का आयोजन किया गया।
मुख्यमंत्री रघुवर दास ने घटना की निंदा की है और पुलिस महानिदेशक डी के पांडे को जल्द से जल्द दोषियों को गिरफ्तार करने के लिए कहा।
स्थानीय पत्रकारों के एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने उपायुक्त अमित कुमार और पुलिस अधीक्षक अंजनी कुमार झा से मुलाकात की और मृतक के परिवार को समुचित मुआवजा दिए जाने की मांग की।
