Varinder Kumar, Patwari posted at Haibowal Kalan in Ludhiana district was nabbed red handed by Vigilance team for accepting bribe of Rs. 5,000 from complainant Paramjeet Singh of Model Town Extension in Ludhiana City.
Accused Patwari was demanding Rs. 6,000 to issue a copy of fard of his plot and the deal was struck at Rs. 5,000/.

Mandeep Singh was sarpanch of gram panchayat Bheni Bagha in Mansa district from the year 2008-12. He was served a notice to deposit Rs. 45 lakhs by then BDPO Mansa Jagtar Singh for committing irregularities in development works executed by the panchayat and his agricultural land measuring 13 acres was attached by the department on the recommendation of Jagtar Singh for recovering the amount.
Now the Panchayats and Rural Development department on the review application of ex sarpanch Mandeep Singh has ordered to recheck the previous development works through executive engineer Panchayti Raj who in turn has reported irregularities to the tune of Rs. 3.94 lakhs only that could be recovered from village ex sarpanch.

Bikramjeet Singh, Patwari, posted at revenue halqa Babri Nangal in Gurdaspur district was caught red handed on the complaint of Chechal Singh of village Babri Nangal, district Gurdaspur.
The complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the above named patwari was demanding bribe of Rs. 10000/- in lieu of to change names in land records of his family members.
After verifying his complaint the VB team laid a trap and the accused was caught red handed and tainted money was recovered from him in the presence of two official witnesses.
