Congress MLA Bharat Singh accused Gehlot government of corruption and hindering the work.
Singh, who represents Sangod assembly constituency in Kota district, has written a letter to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot alleging corruption in the state’s mining department.
In the letter he has requested Gehlot to save the government from the “corrupt people” to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The central government wants to repair the highway stretch but the state mining department is raising obstacles, the letter said
He alleged that funds worth Rs 208.54 crore have been sanctioned for maintenance work on NH-27, but Officers creating hurdles on the directions of the minister and not issuing the requisite permission letter to the contractor for the maintenance work.

Former IPS officer Pankaj Kumar Chaudhary, dismissed recently by the Rajasthan government, Thursday said he would contest the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
He also said he has moved the Central Administrative Tribunal challenging the state government’s order dismissing him. The CAT has issued notices to the state and the Centre in the matter.
The controversial Rajasthan-cadre officer was dismissed on March 6 for allegedly having an extramarital relationship
Forty four-year old Chaudhary, who hails from Varanasi, has been the superintendent of police of Jaisalmer between Feb and July 2013 and Bundi between January and September 2014 and had courted controversies during his tenures in both the districts

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot Addressing the ‘Gau Raksha Sammelan’, attended by the owners of cows shelters said non-lactating cows should not be abandoned and efforts should be made to look after them.
He assured increase in grant for cow shelters so that cows are fed well. Cow shelter managers run the shelters with the help of donation amount, grant but despite that they face difficulties,”
He said he has directed the finance department officials to release the pending grant for cow shelters.
Pointing out towards the problem of stray animals, Gehlot said that non-lactating cows are abandoned and such cattle roam around streets and cause accidents.
Earlier Directorate of Gopalan has issued a letter to all district collectors asking them to motivate donors+NGOs+social workers and cow lovers to adopt stray cows and felicitate them on August 15 and January 26.
The Directorate of Gopalan of the state government works for cattle conservation, research and development.
As per Vishram Meena Director of Gopalan, they will encourage Cow lovers to celebrate their birthdays, wedding anniversaries and such occasions by spending time with their adopted cows.

The hospital would also suggest what the newborn should be named
This proposal was initiated at a meeting of January 3 by the state’s Sanskrit education department.
The Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit University (JRRSU)-Jaipur was made the nodal agency to prepare the proposal.
The department was following up on the Congress election manifesto that promised to encourage the study of Sanskrit, and also set up a ‘Vedik Sanskar evam Shiksha Board’ to promote Vedic knowledge.
The astrologers will get Rs 40 out of Rs 51 charged at government hospitals and Rs 80 out of Rs 101 paid by parents at private hospitals. Under the proposal, the remaining amount will go to the university.
A unique code will be given for every horoscope and a more detailed analysis can be downloaded from the university’s website by paying Rs 200.

The Rajasthan government on Thursday started conducting camps at all the district headquarters for waiving off loans of farmers.
Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot inaugurated the camp at Sirsi road here and gave certificates to the farmers.
Similar camps were also started in other districts in which loan-waiver certificates will be given to the farmers.
“Congress president (Rahul Gandhi) had promised the loan-waiver to farmers and the decision of loan waiver was taken within two days of the government’s formation. We are executing this, which shows that Congress does what it says,” Pilot said at the function.
He accused the former Bharatiya Janata Party government of neglecting the interests of the farmers.
The government had also announced waiver of loans up to Rs 2 lakh (for defaulter farmers) from commercial banks.
Gehlot had on December 19 announced to waive off the farmers’ entire short-term crop loan from cooperative banks and agriculture loans up to Rs 2 lakh for defaulter farmers from nationalised and other banks.

He said he will hold a ‘panchayat’ in Khandar, Nainwa, Ajmer and Dausa on January 27, February 1, 5 and 13, respectively.
Bainsla also sought support from government employees belonging to the most backward classes.
Gujjars in Rajasthan already have 1 per cent reservation in the ‘most backward’ category but are demanding 5-per cent quota under the legal limit of 50 per cent reservation.

The 15th Rajasthan Assembly has 46 MLAs with criminal cases
Out of the 199 members of legislative assembly (MLAs), 46 MLAs have declared criminal cases against themselves.
Twenty eight MLAs have declared ‘serious’ criminal cases against them,
As per Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) report.In the 2013 assembly elections, 19 MLAs had declared ‘serious’ criminal cases against them.
Parsadi Lal of Congress who contested from Lalsot constituency of Dausa district has declared one charge related to murder.
Four MLAs, all from Congress, have declared cases related to attempt to murder (IPC section 307).
Comparing the candidates as per their political affiliation,
25 out of 99 MLAs from Congress,
12 out of 73 MLAs from BJP and
two out of six MLAs from BSP among other regional political outfits have declared criminal cases against themselves in their affidavits, the report said.
Sixteen out of 99 MLAs from Congress,
seven out of 73 MLAs from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and
two out of six MLAs from Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) have declared ‘serious’ criminal cases against them.
