Rahul Gandhi today targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the IDS scheme alleging that he had failed to act against blackmoney despite his talk of “56-inch chest” to fight corruption, and instead brought out a a scheme for turning into white the ill-gotten wealth of “thieves”.
The Congress Vice President, who was speaking during his road show on the last day of his month-long Kisan Yatra from Deoria in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh to Delhi, pressed upon the Modi government to announce a debt waiver for farmers.
Gandhi also took a swipe at ruling Samjwadi Party, saying he will give UP a government of farmers, laborers and people of every religion and caste and not that of a selected few.
Lashing out at Modi government, he said only the Prime Minister and his friends were “happy” as money has come into the pockets of 15 top businessmen and not the farmers, labour and small shopkeepers.
“Modiji brought out a ‘Fair and Lovely scheme’ for turning the blackmoney of the country’s thieves into white.
Modi government had announced Income Declaration Scheme (IDS) — a one-time opportunity to those with hidden income to come clean by making the disclosure and paying 45 per cent tax and penalty. After the end of the four-month window on September 30, the government had pegged the disclosed amount at Rs 65,250 crore.
Training his guns on the family-led Samajwadi Party government in the state, Gandhi said, “Uttar Pradesh will not have a government of just 15 persons. The government here will be of farmers, labour, small shopkeepers, and of people from every religion and caste.”

The Chief Minister also discussed with the Prime Minister the ongoing developmental projects in the state and thanked him for continued support for the uplift of the people of the troubled state,
Mehbooba met the Prime Minister for the first time after Indian army carried out surgical strikes across the LoC and destroyed seven terrorist launch pads in PoK.
Mehbooba, who is in the national capital since yesterday, also informed him about the steps taken by the her government for evacuating people from the border villages to safer places in view of the escalation of tension between the two countries.
Pakistan has been repeatedly violating the ceasefire, using mortars and small arms, resulting in injuries to five civilians and some defence personnel.

As per Dy Commissioner Of Police,
On 03.10.2016, Complainant reported that he is doing private job in Tilak Nagar, New Delhi.His owner gave him Rs. 1,84,000/- for delivery to one Mr. Kumar in Mayapuri, New Delhi.
After taking the cash, he kept the cash in the Dickey of Activa Scooty and proceeded from Tilak Nagar to Mayapuri.
At about 4.35 PM, when he was on Lajwanti Garden Fly Over, four persons on two scooters came from behind and forcefully stopped him.They used blade and he sustained injury on his both hands and they took away Rs.1,84,000/- from the dickey.
On interrogation, accused Gurmeet Singh broke down and confessed his crime.
He disclosed that due to habit of gambling he has taken more than Rs. 2 lacs – as loan. He along with his friend Kumar Vikram Ray and Dainy planned to grab the cash of his owner.
He took the cash from shop of his owner at 3:00 PM and directly went to his house and kept Rs. 1 Lac there, Rs.59,000/- at the house of Vikram Ray and Rs. 25,000/- was given to Dainy. The latter made the above mentioned injuries to him with the blade and he came to the spot with empty scooty. He gathered all his relatives and his owner at the spot and then, made PCR Call by taking another phone of his shop owner.
Onthe instance of the accused Gurmeet Singh Rs 1 lac was recovered from his house and accused Kumar Vikram Ray was arrested and Rs 59,000/- was also got recovered from the house of Kumar Vikram Ray.

Former Goa Inspector General of Prison Elvis Gomes today joined Aam Aadmi Party
Gomes joined the Arvind Kejriwal led party in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Of Delhi Manish Sisodia.
Gomes, had resigned from the service. His last posting was IG Prison.
Officer was booked by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) in a land scam. He, however, has refuted all the allegations.
Claiming that state administration is infested with corruption, he said “the administrative system which exists in Goa is nowhere in India.
He said”There is no end to corruption here. It is not the Chief Minister or any other Minister, but the situation is such that the lowest functionary in the government can also have its say on the decision making or governance,”

BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Dr Subramanian Swamy has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban import of cement from Pakistan in the interest of domestic industry and national security.
.He said import of cement without levy of customs duty was introduced in 2007 to augment supply in view of high demand.
He said the situation has since changed and the domestic industry has added a lot of capacity which is not being utilised, with around 116 million tonnes cement capacity lying idle due to stagnating demand in the country.
He also referred to reports of recovery of drugs like heroin and fake Indian currency notes concealed in cement bags imported from Pakistan.
The BJP leader said the industry today has a capacity utilisation of less than 70 per cent with units in South India posting even lesser capacity utilsation. He further said that capital investment of more than Rs 90,000 crore required for creation of this capacity is lying stranded.
He said “India has become a dumping ground for imported cement, particularly from Pakistan, China and Bangladesh. It is ironical that while on every front Pakistan continues to trouble us, India continues to allow duty-free import of cement from Pakistan at the cost of Indian cement industry,”
The BJP leader said there is reverse charge duty structure as material required for cement manufacture attracts import duty while the finished product is not

Delhi High Court Said Vendors can’t sell items in non-hawking zones
Delhi High Court today said that street vendors cannot sell their wares in areas which were identified as non-hawking zones under the earlier schemes on street vending.
The court modified its September 9 order that said no street vendor should be evicted from city roads without following due process of law.
A bench of

said it was modifying its September 9 order as the aspect of non-squatting zones were not inconsistent with the 2014 Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending Act which prohibits vending activities in non-vending areas.
The court noted that though the Act came into force on May 1, 2014, “there were several lapses in proper implementation of its provisions and consequently, no vending zones have not yet been declared”.
“Having regard to the fact that declaration of non-squatting zones or non-vending zones is not inconsistent with provisions of the Act of 2014, which expressly prohibits carrying out vending activities by street vendors in non-vending zones,..
The observation came while denying NDMC’s plea that it be allowed to go ahead with its survey of street vendors as provided under the Act.
“Unless we can decide if there can be more than one scheme, we do not want to decide NDMC plea,” the bench said.

I A F Wing Commander G Rajasekhar Reddy was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in coordination with Nanded Police on Monday and brought to Hyderabad today
Some mobiles and Rs 7.5 lakh in cash were recovered from him.
Officials said Reddy was produced in a court in Hyderabad today which sent him in NCB’s custody.
The NCB had on Monday seized 231 kg of the banned narcotic drug amphetamine, worth about Rs 45 crore, from Hyderabad and Bengaluru and arrested three persons including a research scientist and his wife.
