बताते चलें कि त्रिकुटा पहाड़ियों में स्थित विश्व प्रसिद्ध शक्ति पीठ मां वैष्णो देवी केदर्शन करने के लिए रोजाना दस से पंद्रह हजार यात्री आते हैं और वर्ष में एक करोड़ तक श्र्धालू आते हैं|बीते साल १.०५ करोड़ लोग आये थे और इस सप्ताहंत तक एक करोड़ का आंकड़ा दर्ज़ किया जा चूका है| अनुमान के अनुसार क्रिसमस और नए साल को देखते हुए दिसंबर 20 के बाद कटड़ा पहुंचने वाले यात्रियों की संख्या में बेतहाशा बढ़ोतरी हो सकती है और यह नया रिकॉर्ड कायम हो सकता है| कहने का अभिप्राय है कि यह शक्ति पीठ ना केवल श्रधालूँ जनों की आस्था से जुडा है वरन आतंकवाद से जूझ रहे जे & के राज्य के लिए यह आय का भी मुख्य स्रौत है ऐसे में यहाँ सुविधाओं और सुरक्षा का अभाव दिखाई दे रहा है यह चिंता का विषय है |इस छेत्र में विशेष व्यवस्था की आवश्यकता से इंकार नहीं किया जा सकता|
