[New Delhi] Joint Secretary in the Defence Ministry, Arun Kumar Bal, died today after suffering a heart attack.As per the reports Bal had gone for a morning walk Where he suffered the heart attack, 52-year-old Bal was one of the key officers handling the Agusta Westland scam case.
The officer is survived by his wife, son, and a daughter.
His body has been sent for post-mortem, 1986-batch West Bengal cadre officer, Bal was holding the important charge of Joint Secretary and Acquisition Manager (Air) in the Ministry .He was looking after all the acquisition projects of the IAF.
