[New Delhi]AAP Suspends Punjab Disciplinary Committee’s Dissident Chief Daljit Singh And Warned Disgruntled 3 MPs
Cracking the whip against dissidents, the AAP today suspended the Punjab Disciplinary Committee head Daljit Singh for anti-party activities and warned disgruntled 3 MPs of facing stern disciplinary action.
The AAP’s National Disciplinary Committee headed by Ashish Khetan and having Pankaj Gupta and Dinesh Waghela as members, had last week given a notice to Daljit Singh for not acting “as per the constitution”.
Party sources said Singh had even issued disciplinary notice to Such Singh Chotepur, party’s state convenor + Sanjay Singh, a senior AAP leader, party incharge and a key aide of party chief Arvind Kejriwal.
Last week, of its four MPs –all from Punjab — three of them had a meeting at Patiala parliamentarian Dharamvira Gandhi’s residence and had spoken against the recent appointments made by the central leadership.
Incidentally, Gandhi had openly spoken out against the party for criticising the leadership, following which he was removed as the parliamentary party leader.
“The National Disciplinary Committee and Political Affairs Committee is taking all their actions into congizance,” Pandey said.
The state will go for polls in 2017.
