[Chandigarh,Punjab] ‘Vulgar songs’ Banned in Punjab’s Buses
SAD Led Punjab Government has banned playing of “vulgar songs” and “provocative music” in the state -run buses with immediate effect.
The directions have been passed by state Transport Minister Ajit Singh Kohar who warned that any bus driver found violating government’s directive would have to face strict departmental action.
Transport Minister
said that the “frequent use of vulgar and loud music in the buses” not only disturbs the passengers but is “instrumental in fatal accidents which occur due to distraction caused to the drivers.”
He also urged the general public to contact him personally if they come across any violation of the directions of the state government.
