The national council of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Saturday unanimously decided to extend the terms of all of its office-bearers, including party convener Arvind Kejriwal, by a year.
As per Pankaj Gupta a proposal to extend the term of the current council by a year in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha election and the Delhi Assembly polls was passed unanimously.
Kejriwal was elected as the national convenor of the AAP for the second time in April, 2016 for a period of three years.

The stamp was launched at the inaugural function of ‘Baghbazar-O-Rasogolla Utsab’, a festival to celebrate the renowned sweet on Friday.
Baghbazar is a locality in the northern part of the city where the creator of rasogolla, Nobin Chandra Das lived and worked. He had invented the sweet in 1868.
West Bengal had won the Geographical Indication (GI) for ‘Banglar Rasogolla’ on November 14, 2017 after a 26-month legal tussle with neighbouring state Odisha.

एलिम्को की आर्टिफिशिएल लिम्ब्स फिटिंग सेंटर एवं सहायक उत्पादन ईकाई की स्थापना की प्रक्रिया कृष्ण पाल गुर्जर द्वारा की गई पहल को हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री ने अपना समर्थन दिया तथा आर्टिफिशिएल लिम्ब्स के फिटमेंट के लिए अत्याधुनिक पुनर्वास केंद्र की स्थापना के लिए प्रति वर्ष एक रुपए प्रति एकड़ की लीज दर पर एलिम्को को हरियाणा के फरीदाबाद जिले के बल्लभगढ ब्लॉक के गांव नवादा, तिगांव में लगभग पांच एकड़ भूमि पट्टे पर दिए जाने को मंजूरी दी।

भारत के प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने कहा कि‘‘सरकार बदलते ही मध्य प्रदेश और राजस्थान में अब खाद और यूरिया के लिए कतारें लगने लगी हैं । लाठियां चलने लगी हैं और काला बाजारी करने वाले मैदान में आ गये हैं।’’
मोदी यहीं नहीं रूके, बल्कि कांग्रेस को ‘लालीपाप’ पकड़ाने वाली पार्टी बताया । उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘कर्नाटक में लाखों किसानों की कर्ज माफी का वायदा किया गया था … ये सच्चाई समझिये … कर्नाटक में अभी अभी कांग्रेस ने पिछले दरवाजे से सरकार बनायी । लालीपाप पकड़ा दिया था … कर्ज माफी का वायदा किया था।’’
उन्होंने कहा कि लाखों किसानों का कर्ज माफ होना था लेकिन किया कितना? ‘‘बताउं … आप हैरान हो जाएंगे । लाखों किसानों की कर्ज माफी का वायदा किया गया । वोट लिये गये और पिछले दरवाजे से सरकार बना ली गयी । लेकिन दिया सिर्फ 800 लोगों को । ये कैसे वादे, ये कैसे खेल, किसानों के साथ कैसा धोखा हो रहा है ।’’
’’ उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘मैं यहां के किसानों से पूछना चाहता हूं कि क्या आपका कर्ज माफ हुआ … आपके खाते में पैसा आया क्या … आपको कोई मदद मिली क्या ।’’
मोदी ने कहा कि वादा किया, फिर सरकार बनी लेकिन किसानों को भुला दिया गया । उन्होंने भीड़ से सवाल किया, ‘‘लालीपाप कंपनी पर भरोसा करोगे क्या ? झूठ बोलने वालों और जनता से धोखा करने वालों पर भरोसा करोगे क्या ? चौकीदार की वजह से कुछ चोरों की रातों की नींद उड़ गयी है। आपके आशीर्वाद से एक दिन ऐसा आएगा, जब इन चोरों को सही जगह पर ले जाएगा।’’
उन्होंने कहा कि तब किसानों पर छह लाख करोड़ रूपये का कर्ज था लेकिन सरकार बनने के बाद ड्रामेबाजी की गयी और किसानों की आंख में धूल झोंकी गयी । छह लाख करोड रूपये का कर्ज था और माफ किये गये सिर्फ सात हजार करोड रूपये । जब सीएजी (भारत के नियंत्रक एवं महालेखा परीक्षक) की रिपोर्ट आयी तब पता लगा कि उसमें से भी बहुत बड़ी रकम ऐसे लोगों के घर में गयी जो ना किसान थे, जिन पर ना कर्ज था और जो ना ही कर्ज माफी के हकदार थे

More than 1 lakh companies have been struck off the official records in the current fiscal for not carrying business activities for a long time
As part of clamping down on illicit fund flows, the Corporate Affairs Ministry has been taking action against entities that are suspected to be shell companies.
Under the Companies Act, 2013, a company can be deregistered if it has not been carrying out any business for two continuous years and has also not applied for obtaining dormant status.
Minister of State for Corporate Affairs P P Chaudhary informed the Lok Sabha that 2.26 lakh companies were struck off from the Register of Companies as on December 31, 2017.
“During financial year 2018-19, a total of 2,25,910 companies have been identified for action under Section 248 of the Act and after following due process of law, names of 1,00,150 companies have been struck off from the Register of Companies.

A bill which seeks to remove the Congress president as a permanent member in a trust that runs the Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial to make the body “apolitical” was introduced in the Lok Sabha Friday
The Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial (amendment) Bill, moved by Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma states that it seeks to “delete” the mention of ‘President of the Indian National Congress’ as a trustee.
The amendment bill also paves way for the leader of the single largest opposition party in the Lok Sabha to be a member of the trust. As of now, only Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha is a member of the trust.
The present Lok Sabha has no leader of the Opposition.
The amendment bill also confers power to the central government to terminate the term of a nominated trustee before the expiry of the term without assigning any reason.
As of now, the trust which manages the memorial, has the Prime Minister as the chairperson, President of Indian National Congress, Culture Minister, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Punjab governor, Punjab CM as its members.
Virendra Kataria, Ambika Soni and Harvendra Singh Hanspal are nominated trustees appointed in 2013 for five years, according to the Culture Ministry website.
