दिल्ली में परिवहन विभाग के 14 जोनल कार्यालय हैं
राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में स्थित क्षेत्रीय परिवहन कार्यालय जनवरी से कैशलेस हो जाएंगे जब ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस, ऑटो परमिट एवं फिटनेस सर्टिफिकेट सहित सभी सेवाओं के लिए डिजिटल माध्यम से शुल्क का भुगतान करने की सुविधा मुहैया होगी।
परिवहन विभाग ने अपने जोनल कार्यालयों में प्वांइट ऑफ सेल :पीओएस: मशीनें लगाई हैं और कुछ जगहों पर कैशलेस लेन देन का ट्रायल रन किया जा रहा है।
प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार जनवरी से आरटीओ कार्यालय आने वाले लोग विभिन्न सेवाओं –
परमिट,
ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस,
फिटनेस सर्टिफिकेट –
के लिए अपने डेबिट, क्रेडिट कार्ड का इस्तेमाल कर भुगतान कर सकते हैं।

The team of Burari Circle of Delhi Police Traffic -Outer Range, has prosecuted 42 vehicles for un authorisedly carrying passengers and school children in private vehicles.
In the area of Swaroop Nagar on 23/12/16 a private maruti van was ferrying school children inunauthorized manner,Which met with an accident After this a major drive was launched in the area of Burari by the team of Burari Traffic Circle. As many as 42 vans/Eco vehicles carrying school children/passengers were rounded up and prosecuted in Traffic circle – Burari. In the special drive prosecution was done for RC/Permit violation.
As per Vijay Singh Dy Commissioner ,Out of the 42, 26 van/Eco vehicles have been impounded and kept in various police stations of NorthWest District. Apart from this, ownersof 25 other vehicles were challaned for commercial use of the private vehicles. The action on such vehicles would continue in the coming days also.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने आरोपों से ‘‘भूकंप’’ लाने की कांग्रेस उपाध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी की टिप्पणियों पर तंज कसते हुए आज कहा कि कांग्रेस नेता ने भाषण देना ‘‘सीख’’ लिया है क्योंकि उन्होंने अनजाने में अपनी पार्टी के शासन की ‘‘विफलताओं’’ को स्वीकार किया है।
मोदी ने राहुल का नाम लिए बगैर कहा, ‘‘उनके पास एक युवा नेता है जो अभी भाषण देना सीख रहा है। जब से उन्होंने भाषण देना सीखा है, मेरी खुशी का कोई ठिकाना नहीं है। 2009 में आप यह तक नहीं बता सकते थे कि इस जेब के अंदर क्या है और क्या नहीं है। अब हम पा रहे हैं।’’ प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा, ‘‘वह धमकी देते फिर रहे हैं कि अगर उन्होंने बोला तो भूकंप आ जाएगा। अगर, उन्होंने नहीं बोला होता तो भूकंप आ गया होता। यह ऐसा भूकंप होता जिसे लोगों ने 10 साल तक झेला है।’’ मोदी ने कहा, ‘‘अब वह बोल चुके हैं तो किसी भूकंप का कोई चांस नहीं है। हम आश्वस्त हो सकते हैं कि किसी प्राकृतिक विपदा का कोई खतरा नहीं दिख रहा।’’ उल्लेखनीय है कि एक दिन पहले राहुल ने आरोप लगाया था कि मोदी जब गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री थे तो उन्होंने सहारा और बिड़ला समूह से धन लिया था।
नोटबंदी के बाद पहली बार अपने लोकसभा क्षेत्र के दौरे के बाद यहां आए प्रधानमंत्री बनारस हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय परिसर में आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम को संबोधित कर रहे थे।

Iconic actor, Akshay Kumar, addressed Swachh Bharat Champion Collectors and Sarpanches at a 2-day ‘Swachhta Sammelan’ organized in Mathura. Speaking at the sammelan, he said that he agreed to address Champions,without a moment’s hesitation. He saluted the efforts being made by all government officials and grassroot workers engaged in rural sanitation to contribute to our nation’s march on the road to an Open Defecation Free (ODF) India by 2019, as per the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision for Swachh Bharat Mission.
Mr Kumar is currently shooting a commercial movie in Mathura around the theme of rural sanitation and toilets for the health of the family and safety and dignity of women.
He spoke about the need to deliver social messages through mass entertainers to make a deeper impact. He said that it is a shame that, in the age when India has successfully completed a mission to Mars, we still have open defecation prevalent in our country. He said that, like the Prime Minister has envisioned, this needs to be made a janaandolan, and that communities must themselves lead the way and influence people in their village who own mobile phones but not toilets to make their family’s health and safety a greater priority.
Mr Kumar also interacted with the Swachh Bharat functionaries present and listened to their experiences from the field, the challenges they face, and how they go about solving these challenges.
Another session conducted with the Swachh Bharat Champions during the 2-day Swachhta Sammelan, organized in Mathura, was a leadership session conducted by renowned management guru, Mr Shiv Khera. Mr Khera spoke to the Champions about the importance of qualities such as responsibility, ownership, motivating teams and having a positive mental attitude.
The Sammelan ended with a field visit to Mudesi gram panchayat in Mathura, where the Champions from across the country observed ongoing toilet construction activities in the village, and discussed toilet technologies suitable for various topographies in the country.
The Sammelan was led by the Secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Shri Parameswaran Iyer, who said that he was encouraged by the response shown by the Champions to the sessions conducted over the two days, and that the Ministry will continue to organize such conventions across the nation to motivate Swachh Bharat Champions

In a sudden move, Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung today resigned amid a protracted bitter confrontation with the AAP government.
Without citing reasons, Jung’s office said he has submitted his resignation to the Centre.
65-year-old Jung, a former IAS officer, had assumed charge of Lt Governor of Delhi on July 9, 2013.
The reason behind his surprise decision is not immediately known.
“Jung also thanked the people of Delhi for all their support and affection, especially during the one year of President’s Rule in Delhi, when he got unstinted support from them and which in turn helped run the administration in Delhi smoothly and effortlessly,”
Jung also thanked Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for his association in the last two years.
As per sources “Jung would be returning back to his first love, which is, academics,”

22 Publications are Deregistered
5,423 new publications are registered during FY16: Report
Print media registered a growth of 5.13 per cent with 5,423 new registrations during last fiscal, according to the ‘Press in India 2015-16’ report released today.
The total number of publications as on March 31 this year stood at 1,10,851 with the largest number of registered publications being in Hindi followed by English.
The number of newspapers and periodicals registered in Hindi were 44,557 while there were 14,083 publications in English, according to the report.
Out of the 1,10,851 registered publications
16,136 were dailies and bi-tri weeklies while the remaining were of other periodicities.
The report was released today by I&B minister M Venkaiah Naidu at an event where Minister of State for I&B Rajyavardhan Rathore was also present.
Circulation-wise, Hindi publications continue to lead with 31,44,55,106 copies per publishing day followed by English with 6,54,13,443 and Urdu with 5,17,75,006 copies.
As per the report, ‘Anand Bazar Patrika’ in Bengali is the largest circulated daily with a circulation of 11,50,038.
The second largest circulated daily is ‘Hindustan Times’, Delhi, with a circulation of 9,92, 239.
The largest circulated Hindi daily is ‘Punjab Kesari’, Jalandhar with a circulation of 7,36,399 while the largest circulated multi-edition daily is ‘Dainik Bhaskar’ in Hindi with a circulation of 46,14,939.
The second largest multi-edition daily is ‘The Times of India’ with a circulation of 44,21,374. The largest circulated periodical is the ‘The Sunday Times of India’ with a circulation of 8,02,466.
At the end of the year 2015-16, Uttar Pradesh with 16,984, Maharashtra with 15,260 and Delhi with 12,482 publications were at first, second and third positions respectively in terms of number of publications.
The number of publications ceased during last fiscal was 15 while the number of publications deregistered was 22.
According to the report, 27,445 publications submitted their Annual Statements

Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi has said that the territorial government’s order to all departments to adopt digital transactions is a proof of its resolve to reduce corruption.
In her twitter message she had said that the order of the Puducherry Finance department mandating digital transactions “shows our resolve to reduce corruption in government.”
Secretary to Finance and Commissioner of Puducherry, V Candavelou has directed all the heads of departments through the order, to hereafter adopt only digital transactions and e-banking to pay the monthly salaries and allowances of the employees besides settling payments for the contractors and suppliers of materials to the government departments where the payment is above Rs 5000.
The Secretary further said the departments operating welfare and social security schemes should also make the payments to beneficiaries through their bank accounts although cash payment would continue in respect of the infirm, disabled and bed-ridden persons until further orders.
The order for digital mode of payment is also applicable to all the corporations, statutory bodies, State government-sponsored public sector undertakings, institutions getting grants from the government and other autonomous bodies here.
The Union Home Ministry had given directions to the Chief Secretary of Puducherry that digital banking should be introduced in the Union Territory, “which has been selected to become a model state for cashless transaction on a pilot basis,” Chief Minister V Narayanasamy had said.
