[New Delhi] Jaitely Quotes IMF and Supports Reforms Of Indian Economy
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has cited IMF reports to highlight how the Narendra Modi-led government through a series of reforms has transformed the “weak economy” it inherited from the UPA government.
Jaitley, in a Facebook post, said ,report of 2014 talks about weak economy during the UPA government and the latest points at near-term macroeconomic outlook broadly favorable and growth forecast rising to 7.3 per cent in FY 2018-19, he said.
Quoting the IMF report of 2014, released in February, Jaitley said there was high fiscal and current account deficits as well as a standstill in infrastructure, power and in the allocation of natural resources.
Taking leaf out of 2018 report, Jaitley said, “Stability-oriented macroeconomic policies and progress on structural reforms continue to bear fruit.”
Quoting from the report he said, economic risks were tilted to the downside.
Domestic risks pertain to tax revenue shortfalls related to continued GST implementation issues and delays in addressing the twin balance sheet problems and other structural reforms, he added.

रक्षा मंत्री के दौरे के कार्यक्रम को जन प्रतिनिधियों के परामर्श से कोडागु के जिला प्रशासन द्वारा अंतिम रूप दिया गया जिसमे जिला प्रशासन के आग्रह पर कुछ पूर्व सैनिकों को भी शामिल किया गया।
कार्यक्रम के अनुरुप रक्षा मंत्री बाढ़ से बुरी तरह प्रभावित पूर्व सैनिकों के साथ बातचीत कर रही थीं,जिस पर जिले के प्रभारी मंत्री ने आपत्ति जताई और जोर देकर कहा कि पहले अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक आयोजित की जाए। रक्षा मंत्री ने स्पष्ट किया कि पूर्व सैनिकों का कल्याण रक्षा मंत्री का एक अनिवार्य हिस्सा है और इसका विवरण कार्यक्रम में भी है। तथापि, जिला मंत्री ने जोर दिया कि माननीया रक्षा मंत्री तत्काल बातचीत बंद करें एवं अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक करने के लिए वहां से रवाना हों।
रक्षा मंत्री ने तत्काल यह बैठक स्थगित की और अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक करने के लिए रवाना हो गईं। मीडिया के लोगों की उपस्थिति में आयोजित इस बैठक के बाद रक्षा मंत्री ने पूर्व सैनिकों की समस्याएं सुनीं।

As per complainant Gurtej Singh was demanding Rs. 45,000 from him to waive off his agriculture loan which was being written off under state debt relief plan and he had already paid Rs. 35,000 as a first installment.
Apart from this Sub Inspector Om Parkash Handa posted at CIA Ferozepur was also nabbed red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000
As per complainant Pala Singh resident of Basti Amrik Singh Wali, Ferozepur district. accused Police Officer has been demanding Rs. 15000 to release his motorcycle confiscated by police.
