देश की 62 छावनी बोर्डों ने २१ लाख लोगों को कोरोना से सहायता को कमर कसी
सभी छावनी बोर्डों को निर्देश दिए गए हैं कि वे किसी भी आपात स्थिति से निबटने के लिए पहले से ही अस्पतालों/स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों और गेस्ट हाउसों में उपलब्ध स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं की पहचान करके रखें।
महानिदेशक रक्षा संपदा (डीजीडीई) के निर्देश के अनुसार छावनी बोर्ड अपने समस्त कर्मचारियों को फेस मास्क, हैंड ग्लव्स और सैनिटाइजर मुहैया करा रहे हैं। छावनी क्षेत्रों के सभी होटलों और रेस्तरां को जारी किए गए परामर्शों का सख्ती से पालन करने को कहा गया है।कार्य योजनाएं तैयार की गई हैं। सभी छावनी अस्पताल आवश्यक चिकित्सा सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए चौबीसों घंटे काम कर रहे हैं।
देश मे 19 राज्यों/केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों में स्थित बासठ छावनी बोर्डों ने कोरोना वायरस-कोविड 19 महामारी की चुनौती से निबटने की तैयारी शुरू कर दी है। इन छावनी बोर्डों की कुल आबादी (सेना और नागरिकों सहित) 21 लाख है।
छावनी क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले लोगों, विशेष रूप से गरीब वर्ग के लिए आवश्यक वस्तुओं, खाद्य पदार्थों इत्यादि की आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कार्यालय के कर्मचारियों की एक टास्क फोर्स बनायी गयी है। सभी किराने की दुकानों को कालाबाजारी से बचने, सार्वजनिक स्थलों पर भीड़ नहीं लगाने तथा लॉकडाउन के दिशा-निर्देशों का पालन करने की हिदायत दी गई है। छावनी बोर्ड निरंतर और निर्बाध जल आपूर्ति व्यवस्था के साथ ही स्ट्रीट लाइट सेवाओं को भी सुनिश्चित कर रहे हैं। अधिकांश छावनियों में निवासियों के लिए हेल्पलाइन नंबर जारी किए गए हैं।
छावनी क्षेत्रों का समग्र नगरपालिका प्रशासन छावनी बोर्डों के अंतर्गत आता है जो लोकतांत्रिक निकाय है। छावनी बोर्डों की इस अनूठी संरचना को सफलतापूर्वक यथावत बनाए रखा जा रहा है।
छावनी क्षेत्र मुख्य रूप से सैनिकों और उनके प्रतिष्ठानों को समायोजित करने के लिए बनाए गए थे। लेकिन छावनी क्षेत्र सैन्य स्टेशनों से भिन्न होते हैं। सैन्य स्टेशन विशुद्ध रूप से सशस्त्र बलों के उपयोग और आवास के लिए होते हैं और एक कार्यकारी आदेश के तहत स्थापित किए जाते हैं जबकि छावनी क्षेत्र ऐसे आवासीय क्षेत्र होते हैं जिनमें सैनिकों के साथ ही आम नागरिक भी रहते हैं।

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday asked banks for “quick transmission” of slashed interest rate as the RBI cut the key lending rate sharply by 75 basis points to boost liquidity in financial system to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a tweet, the Finance Minister also welcomed RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das’ statement that the macro economic fundamentals of the Indian economy are sound, and in fact stronger than what they were in the aftermath of the global financial crisis of 2008-09.
The three-month moratorium on payments of term loan instalments (EMI) and interest on working capital give much-desired relief, she added.
Besides other measures to help the economy facing lockdown, the RBI announced steps to release primary liquidity of Rs 1,37,000 crore in the banking system and reduced cash reserve ratio (CRR) by 100 basis points with effect from March 28 for one year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of renowned artist and architect Satish Gujral on Friday, recalling his determination that helped him overcome adversity.
“Satish Gujral Ji was versatile and multifaceted. He was admired for his creativity as well as the determination with which he overcame adversity,” Modi wrote on Twitter.
He said Gujral’s intellectual thirst took him far and wide, yet he remained attached to his roots.
“Saddened by his demise. Om Shanti,” the prime minister added.

हैंड सैनिटाइज़र्स का थोक में उत्पादन करने में समर्थ डिस्टिलरी/चीनी मिलों को भी हैंड सैनिटाइज़र्स बनाने के लिए प्रेरित किया गया है। अधिकतमउत्पादन करने के लिए इन विनिर्माताओं को तीन पारियों में काम करने के लिए भी कहा गया है।
लगभग 45 डिस्टिलरी और 564 अन्य विनिर्माताओं को हैंड सैनिटाइज़र्स बनाने की अनुमति दी गई है; 55 से अधिक डिस्टिलरी को एक या दो दिनों में अनुमति दिए जाने की संभावना है; तथामौजूदा परिदृश्य में कई अन्य को हैंडसैनिटाइज़र्स का उत्पादन के लिए प्रेरित किया जा रहा है।
आम जनता और अस्पतालों को उचित मूल्यों पर हैंड सेनिटाइज़र्स उपलब्ध कराना सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सरकार ने सैनिटाइज़र्स का अधिकतम खुदरा मूल्य भी निर्धारित किया है। हैंड सैनिटाइज़र्स की खुदरा कीमत प्रति200 मिली बोतल 100 रुपये से अधिक नहीं होगी; हैंड सैनिटाइज़र्स की अन्य मात्रा की कीमतें इन्हीं कीमतों के अनुपात में तय की जाएंगी।

1950 और 60 के दशक की मशहूर अभिनेत्री निम्मी का बुधवार को लंबी बीमारी के बाद निधन हो गया। वह 88 वर्ष की थी।अभिनेत्री को सांस लेने में दिक्कत होने के बाद उपनगरीय जुहू अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। उनकी शाम को मृत्यु हुई।
निम्मी का बृहस्पतिवार को मुंबई में अंतिम संस्कार किया जायेगा।
उनका असली नाम नवाब बानो था और निम्मी नाम फिल्म निर्माता राज कपूर ने दिया था जिन्होंने एक अंदाज फिल्म के सेट पर एक शर्मीली किशोरी के रूप में निम्मी को पहली बार देखा।

Officials said since the census and NPR exercise require the enumerators to visit every household and meet people, such exercise is not possible to carry out due to the prevailing situation.
The home ministry said due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, high alert has been declared by the Centre as well as the states and union territories.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21-day lockdown across the country from Tuesday night due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
