Shiromani Akali Dal Saturday asked Congress president Rahul Gandhi to expel Punjab Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu from the party for calling for dialogue with Pakistan even after the Pulwama terrorist attack in which 40 CRPF jawans died.
Though Sidhu had condemned the “cowardly” attack by a Pakistan-based terror group, he had also called for dialogue to find a “permanent solution” to end the bloodshed.
Sidhu, who had attended the swearing-in ceremony of Imran Khan as Pakistan prime minister last year, had said, “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual?”
SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia said if the Congress president does not sack Sidhu, it would mean his statement was “made at the direction of Rahul Gandhi”.
The Akali leader said the credibility of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh was also on test.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has called for ban on cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu over his controversial comments in the wake of the Pulwama terror attack.
Sidhu, who appears on “The Kapil Sharma Show”, had condemned the incident but courted a controversy when he asked whether an entire nation can be blamed for a handful of people.
He was among the invitees for the swearing-in ceremony of Imran Khan as Pakistan prime minister last year.
The Punjab cabinet minister’s comments sparked an uproar on social media, with many people asking for his removal from “The Kapil Sharma Show”.
In a statement sent to Sony Entertainment Television on Saturday, FWICE said Sidhu should apologise for his comments that have “not only disturbed the sentiments of the nation, but also have been taken as of an anti-Indian nature”.
There have been reports of Sidhu being sacked by the channel from “The Kapil Sharma Show”, but there is no official confirmation.
The reports claimed that actor Archana Puran Singh, who has been a judge on few comedy shows, has replaced Sidhu.
The actor, however, has rubbished the reports.

पंजाब विधानसभा ने जम्मू-कश्मीर के पुलवामा में आतंकवादी हमले की शुक्रवार को कड़ी निंदा की और पूरे दिन के लिये सदन की कार्यवाही स्थगित करने के लिये एक प्रस्ताव पारित किया। बृहस्पतिवार को हुए हमले में सीआरपीएफ के 40 जवान शहीद हुए हैं।

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday protested against Pakistan’s proposal to allow only Sikh pilgrims to visit Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara, pointing out that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was a universal Guru, revered by followers of all religions, especially Hindus.
The Chief Minister has urged the Indian government to take up the issue with Islamabad when the latter sends its draft agreement for regulating entry into its territory through the Kartarpur Corridor.
There was for years the tradition of Hindu families converting their eldest sons to Sikhism, the Chief Minister further noted, adding that the influence of Sikhism in India was so strong that to exclude members of other religions was not something that Pakistan

रजिस्ट्रार, सहकारिता डॉ. नीरज के. पवन ने बुधवार को बताया कि सहकारिता विभाग इस वर्ष मई माह में जयपुर के निवासियों को राजस्थान ही नहीं भारत के अन्य प्रदेशों के उत्कृष्ट मसालों की सौगात उपलब्ध कराने जा रहा है। आयोजित किये जा रहे राष्ट्रीय सहकार मसाला मेले को इस बार अन्तरराष्ट्रीय स्वरूप प्रदान करने का निर्णय किया गया है और इस मेले में सार्क देशों की सहकारी समितियों को भी आमंत्रित किया जायेगा।
रजिस्ट्रार ने बताया कि प्रदेश के अधिकतर जिलों में विशिष्ट मसालों की उपज होती है जो उन जिलों की पहचान है। उन्होंने बताया कि नागौर की मैथी एवं कैर सांगरी, सोजत की अथाना मिर्च एवं मेंहदी, जालोर भीनमाल का जीरा, कोटा रामगंजमण्डी का धनिया, मथानिया की मिर्च, कोटा-बूंदी का चावल एवं पोहा, प्रतापगढ़ की हींग व आम पापड़ की अपनी पहचान है। हमारी सहकारी संस्थायें उनकी उपज के क्षेत्र से ही उनका संधारण एवं प्रसंस्करण कर उपभोक्ताओं को उपलब्ध करायेंगी ताकि उनकी महक एवं शुद्धता बरकरार रहे।
डॉ. पवन ने बताया कि मेले में केरल की लोंग, कालीमिर्च, इलायची सहित लिक्विड मसाले, तमिलनाड़ु की हल्दी, कुंकुम, धनिया, मिर्च के पाउडर, गुंटूर आन्ध्र प्रदेश की मिर्च, नार्थ ईस्ट प्रदेशों के मसाले, हिमाचल प्रदेश, हरियाणा एवं उत्तरप्रदेश के नामचीन उत्पाद उपलब्ध होंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि जयपुर वासियों को दक्षिण भारतीय व्यंजनों के स्वाद से रूबरू कराने के लिये रेडिमेड सांभर एवं रसम के मसाले भी उपलब्ध करायें जायेंगे।
उन्होंने बताया कि मेले में प्रदेश के सभी संभागों तथा अन्य राज्यों से आने वाली सहकारी संस्थाओं को अलग-अलग डोम में स्टॉल आवंटित की जायेंगी। उन्होंने बताया कि मेले में मसालों की फ्लेवर एवं शुद्धता बनाये रखने के लिये पिसाई मशीन लगाई जायेंगी ताकि उपभोक्ता साबुत मसालों की अपने सामने पिसाई करवा सकेगा। यह निःशुल्क होगी।
रजिस्ट्रार ने बताया कि मेले में भुसावर के अचार एवं मुरब्बे, आगरा का पैंठा एवं दालमोठ, राजसमन्द की ठण्डाई, सवाईमाधोपुर का खस का शरबत, कोटा का शरबती गेहूं, सीकर का प्याज भी उपलब्ध कराया जायेगा। उन्होंने बताया कि महिलाओं को बच्चों के साथ मसालों की खरीददारी में किसी प्रकार की परेशानी न हो इसके लिये किड्स जोन भी बनाया जायेगा। उन्होंने बताया कि मेले में सायं 7 बजे से सांस्कृतिक संध्या का आयोजन किया जायेगा जिससे आगन्तुक खरीददारी के साथ-साथ दिन भर की थकावट को दूर कर सके।
डॉ. पवन ने बताया कि मेले का आयोजन भव्य तरीके से करने तथा जयपुर के वासियों को मसालों एवं खाद्य सामग्री के उत्ककृष्ट उत्पाद उपलब्ध कराने में किसी प्रकार की कमी न रहे इसके लिये कमेटियों का गठन कर दिया गया है।

As per Chief Minister Vijay Rupani ,Heads of state of some countries are expected to reach Gandhinagar for the 9th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit beginning January 18.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event and hold one-on-one meetings with the leaders on the sidelines of the summit.
There was a controversy when the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), while inviting global trade bodies for the investors’ meet, had also invited the Karachi Chamber of Commerce for the mega event.
Indo-Pak diplomatic ties have been strained in recent times over the issue of terrorism.
No Pakistani delegation was invited for the investor meets held in 2015 and 2017.
The summit was initiated in 2003 by Modi when he was the chief minister, to promote investment in Gujarat and to establish it as the preferred investment destination in India.
