North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) has urged the Punjab State government that the State government and our Judicial system should introduce the teleconferencing interview system for those Punjabi Diaspora who are involved in small and minor civil and criminal cases registered against them under section 107/151 of IPC by land Mafia groups to harass the Punjabi Diaspora in order to grab their land and property.property.
Satnam Singh Chahal executive director of NAPA said that victim NRI has to visit the country to appear in each and every court hearing for which they have to pay the heavy price for this. They are not only wasting their energy, time and money but they are also losing their business and jobs .If they are not appearing in the court dates then the concerned Punjabi Diaspora has the fear that they will be declared Public offender. Chahal urged the Punjab government to introduce a teleconferencing system on the pattern of Punjab NRI Police to avoid any kind of harassment to Punjabi Diaspora in the future.
