Anger had evoked among the Sikh Community soon after the media reports about vandalism of the Gurduwara Sahib situated at 1420 N. Barker Road in Spokane Valley in Washington State of United States.
As per Satnam Singh Chahal executive director of USA based NAPA a naked man entered and vandalized the Sikh temple Wednesday night and was caught hiding in the bathroom on Thursday morning.
There seems no end of these kinds of hate crimes in United States.

Chahal Alleged that This is more than unfortunate that Guru Granth Sahib was defaced and pages were ripped from it which contains the accumulated teachings of the first through 10th Sikh gurus. The scripture in the Guru Granth Sahib holy book is considered an embodiment of the eternal guru, and as such, holds the sacred focal point of Sikhism.Sikhism, which originated in India, has about 20 million adherents worldwide. There are about 300 Sikhs living in the Spokane area

[जालंधर,दिल्ली,वाशिंगटन ]पेरिस में हुए इस्लामिक आतंकवाद की घिनौनी घटना के रोष में सिखों पर प्रतिक्रिया की आशंका जताई जाने लगी है|पश्चिमी देशों में पगड़ी धारी सिखों और उनके धार्मिक स्थलों[गुरुद्वारों] पर आये दिन हमलों की खबरें आती है|वहां [भूलवश]पगड़ीधारी को लादेन कह कर चिढ़ाया जाता है और इस्लामिक आतंकवादी समझ कर उनपर भी हमले किये जाते हैं|पेरिस पर हुए हमले में १२९ लोग मारे गए और अनेकों घायल हो गए जिसके प्रतिक्रिया स्वरुप पग़डी धारियों को भूल वष निशाना बनाया जा सकता है |
अमेरिका के नॉर्थ अमेरिकन पंजाबी एसोसिएशन (नापा)के कार्यकारी निदेशक सतनाम सिंह चहल ने भी इसपर चिंता व्यक्त की है श्री चहल के अनुसार ९/११ की घटना के पश्चात सिखों के विरुद्ध यह भवन बढ़ रही है यहां तक के उन पर भी उनके रंग के कारण हमले हुए हैंश्री चहल के अनुसार राइट विंग के चरमपंथीपगड़ी धारी सिखों और इस्लामिक एक्सट्रीमिस्ट में अंतर नही ढूंढ पाते सम्भवत इसी भूल में सिखों पर हमले होते हैं

NAPA Demands Indian Passports For PIOs+NRIs Stranded In 72 Countries
NAPA’s Executive Director Satnam Singh Chahal In a Press Release Said
that there are several thousand Indians who are currently in 72 countries and are running from pillar to post to get their Indian passports to visit their home country. But the government of India is refusing to issue them passports due to their political asylum status in their respective countries. He Added that Their only fault is that they have taken the political asylum due to economic reasons.They are neither criminal or wanted by any law enforcement agency of India. Most of these asylum seekers fall in this category and did not have any association with any terror outfit. It has become very difficult for these Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and their dependents to get visa or Indian Passport for visiting their relatives in India, to attend social and religious functions and manage their properties,” said Chahal. He said that the minister assured them of positive action in the matter
Throwing a Jibe On NDA Govt Chahal said ” Now on the one side senior public servants of India are supporting Indian fugitive to get asylum in foreign countries and for their safe return to India and on the other side our government is refusing to issue passports to about half million innocent Indian citizens who waiting passports”.

    North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) has urged the Punjab State government that the State government and our Judicial system should introduce the teleconferencing interview system for those Punjabi Diaspora who are involved in small and minor civil and criminal cases registered against them under section 107/151 of IPC by land Mafia groups to harass the Punjabi Diaspora in order to grab their land and property.property.
    Satnam Singh Chahal executive director of NAPA said that victim NRI has to visit the country to appear in each and every court hearing for which they have to pay the heavy price for this. They are not only wasting their energy, time and money but they are also losing their business and jobs .If they are not appearing in the court dates then the concerned Punjabi Diaspora has the fear that they will be declared Public offender. Chahal urged the Punjab government to introduce a teleconferencing system on the pattern of Punjab NRI Police to avoid any kind of harassment to Punjabi Diaspora in the future.

    NAPA Slams new Profiling Curbs by Obama administration

    [Washington DC]NAPA strongly condemned the loose drafting of Obama administration for new guidelines on Monday Charging That It restricts the ability of federal law enforcement agencies to profile on the basis of religion+ national origin + other characteristics.
    Satnam Singh Chahal executive director North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) ,in a press release ,said that the addition of religion, national origin and other characteristics to the guidance is a sign of progress and we welcome the broader protections, but were disappointed that the guidance will exempt security screening in airports and border checkpoints and won’t be binding on local and state police agencies.. However, these additions remain only a symbolic gesture if, according to reports, the DOJ keeps carve-outs for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and Customs and Border Enforcement (CBP) to discriminate at airports and the US border, and allows the FBI to ‘map’ minority communities to place informants.
    This guidance is not an adequate response to the crisis of racial profiling in America

    NAPA Demands E Visa Facilities At Sri Guru Ram Dass International Airport Of Amritsar Also This Facility is announced for Nine Airports Only
    This demand is submitted Through-Indian Embassy Washington.
    The North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) has complimented The government of India for providing the facility of online visa for 43 countries including the US, Australia, Japan, Israel, Germany and Singapore.
    With This Facility travelers now can apply for a visa from the comfort of their homes and receive a visa within 72 hours.
    NAPA Says that Sri Guru Ram Dass International Airport, Amritsar is most preferred destination of international travelers
    At present Qatar Airways, Uzbekistan Airways, Turkmenistan Airlines beside Air India operate from Sri Guru Ram Dass International Airport, Amritsar. These airlines fly directly to international destinations with connecting flights from their respective country.
    Association says that This facility is available on nine airports, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram whereas Amritsar airport has the same importance as other nine airports and E-visa for Amritsar will promote the Punjab economy.

    India Has Decided To Impose Service Tax on NRI Remittances. So NAPA Tears And Urges Its Immediate Withdrawal
    Indian Diaspora is upset over India’s decision to impose service tax on their remittances.
    Satnam Singh Chahal executive director Of North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) said that it is surprising that when many countries are offering incentives for legal fund transfer, India is imposing tax on NRI remittance to India and this tax will not only discourage to India Diaspora for sending the money to India but also this move of the Indian government could affect the low-paid NRIs badly as financial institutions will not bear the imposed extra costs.
    Even though NRIs are not directly taxed, indirectly it will affect us as the Indian banks and other intermediaries will increase their fees. To cover the increased costs, outside banks, agents and money exchanges will increase the chargeable fee/commission to NRIs.Said Chahal.
    Chahal. added. In case any fee or conversion charges are levied for sending such money, they are also not liable to service tax as the person sending the money and the company conducting the remittance is located outside India. In terms of the Place of Provision of Services Rules, 2012, such services are deemed to be provided outside India and thus not liable to service tax,” the agency had said in a circular dated July 10, 2012..NAPA demanded immediately withdrawal of more tax on NRI remittance

    NAPA Has Issued A List Of Abducted Punjabi Workers In Iraq And Urged The American Law Makers For Immediate Intervention
    North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) urged the Obama administration to intervene into the release of abducted Punjabi workers in Iraq. In a different letters written to several US Lawmakers including members of the US congress and US Senate Satnam Singh Chahal executive director of the Association appealed to them to put pressure on Obama administration and to use their office to immediately intervene for the release of Stranded Punjabi workers in Iraq.
    Chahal while expressing solidarity with the families of these stranded workers said that Indian American community is worried about the security of the Punjabi workers and is expressing its concern and great resentment about the missing of 40 Punjabi workers and several nurses in Iraq.
    Chahal said that Rescue operation is not enough and satisfactory to save these Punjabi workers from the clutches of Terrorists Said Chahal. Why the protector of immigrants New Delhi gave permission to these Punjabi workers to work in Iraq when there is no security of life in Iraq .questioned Chahal.
