[Kolkata]Imams To Appear On Social Media To Dissuade Youth From Terror Organisations.Earlier Imams Met Home Minister For The Same Cause.
Imams are contemplating using social media to spread the message of peace and educate them on the true meaning of Islam.
The social media initiative, led by Qari Fazlur Rehman, a senior cleric of Bengal, comes after reports that ISIS is extensively using social media to radicalise youngsters.
Rehman said.”Nothing has been finalised as of now. I am talking to various clerics, and Islamic scholars on this issue. What I have seen is that various groups including ISIS is misleading the youth by misinterpreting the versions of Islam and Quran,”
“This has to be countered. Islam doesn’t teach us violence or bloodshed. Islam teaches us peace and brotherhood.And our aim is to spread the true version of Islam on social media in various languages so that it has the maximum reach,” he said.
After the matter is finalised, languages such as Arabic, Urdu, Bengali, Hindi and English will be used to spread the message on social media as part of a concerted campaign.
Rehman said that terror groups were luring the youth across the globe through sites like Facebook, Whatsapp and Youtube.
A few days ago, a youth, Mohammed Musiruddin, with suspected links to the ISIS and Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), who had gone to Kashmir to train, was arrested in the state.
He said “If you have to combat this trend you have to use the social media so that young minds don’t get polluted by the malicious campaign. I am talking to authorities and a number of organisations in this regard and we will come to a concrete decision very soon,”

सीमा पार से फायरिंग में मरने वाले नागरिक को पांच लाख रुपये का मिलेगा मुआवजा|पूर्व में यह राशि रु तीन लाख थी|
आतंकवादी और माओवादी हिंसा के मामले में मुआवजा राशि तीन लाख रुपये से बढ़ाकर पांच लाख रुपये की गई
केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने सीमा पार फायरिंग में मरने वाले नागरिक को पांच लाख रुपये की मुआवजा राशि देने की स्वीकृति दी है।
आतंकवादी और माओवादी हिंसा में मरने वाले को भी मुआवजा राशि तीन लाख रुपये से बढ़ाकर पांच लाख रुपये कर दी गई है।
आतंकी हमला, नक्सली हिंसा तथा सीमा पार से फायरिंग, बमबारी और आईईडी विस्फोट में व्यक्ति के मरने पर समान रूप से पांच लाख रुपये की मुआवजा राशि दी जाएगी। यह राशि मृतक के परिजन को दी जाएगी। इन कारणों से 50 प्रतिशत या उससे अधिक असमर्थता या अक्षमता के मामले में भी व्यक्ति को पांच लाख रुपये की राशि दी जाएगी। मुआवजा राशि इस शर्त पर दी जाएगी कि सरकार द्वारा मृत व्यक्ति के परिवार के किसी सदस्य को रोजगार नहीं दिया गया है|
इसके अलावा इमामों ने भी आतंकवाद के विरुद्ध सम्पर्क अभियान छेड़ने की घोषणा की है
अखिल भारतीय इमाम संगठन के मुखिया डॉ इमाम उमर अहमद इलियासी के नेतृत्व में इमामों का एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने कश्मीर घाटी में उत्पन्न हालात को देखते हुए आज केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह से मुलाकात की।
प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने यह आशा व्यक्त की कि भारत सरकार के साथ-साथ राज्य सरकार भी कश्मीर में शांति बहाल करने के लिए तात्कालिक आधार पर हर संभव कदम उठायेगी।
उन्होंने कहा कि इस्लाम में आतंकवाद और हिंसा का कोई स्थान नहीं है और इसके लिए सभी हितधारकों के साथ बातचीत करने की जरूरत है। उन्होंने इस ओर ध्यान आकृष्ट कराते हुए कहा कि अधिकारियों को आस्था और विश्वास के माहौल को बेहतर बनाने के लिए कश्मीर के लोगों की वैध चिंताओं को दूर करना चाहिए।
इमामों ने गृह मंत्री को आश्वासन भी दिया कि एक प्रतिनिधिमंडल जल्द ही शांति बनाए रखने के लिए लोगों से बात करने हेतु जम्मू-कश्मीर जाएगा।
आज प्रतिनिधिमंडल में शामिल प्रमुख लोगों में प्रमुख शिया अलीम मौलाना कल्बे राशिद रिजवी, प्रमुख इस्लामी विद्वान मौलाना जफर जनकपुरी, संसद मार्ग मस्जिद के इमाम मौलाना मोहिबुल्लाह नदवी, मुख्य काजी मुफ्ती अफरोज आलम कासमी, इस्लामी विद्वान कारी मियां, राष्ट्रीय अल्पसंख्यक वित्तीय विकास निगम (एनएमएफडीसी) के पूर्व अध्यक्ष, मोहम्मद मजहारी और अन्ना आंदोलन के सह-संस्थापक मुफ्ती शमूम काशमी भी शामिल थे।

The All India Imams Council today staged a protest demanding an FIR against the VHP leader.
Known for courting controversies, Sadhvi had recently claimed the mission of a Congress-free India has already been “accomplished” and it is now time to rid the country of Muslims.
“The statement was not only unconstitutional and offensive in nature but will also harm the secular fabric of our nation and intending to communal polarization and promoting enmity between two different communities,” Mafti Hanir Ahrar Qasmi, General Secretary of the Imam council said.
Members of the Imam Council staged a demonstration at Jantar Mantar here and later submitted a memorandum to National Commission of Minorities in this regard.”We demand immediate registration of FIR with proper penal sections against Sadhvi and also a ban on her public meetings within the country since she has been continuously making the society boil on communal lines,” the memorandum said.
The protesters also demanded action against Bajrang Dal leaders who had recently organised an arms training camp which triggered a war of words among political parties in Uttar Pradesh.
“We demand that all weapons from Bajrang Dal be seized and the arms’ license of all concerned be cancelled,” the memorandum said.
