This takes the number of infections to 3,20,922 on Sunday, while the death toll rose by 311 to 9,195
This is the third day in a row that there were more than 10,000 cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in India, which is the fourth worst-hit nation by the pandemic.
As per Health Ministry
There are 1,49,348 active COVID-19 cases, while 1,62,378 people have recovered and a patient has migrated, according to the ministry data updated in the morning.
The number of recoveries are more than the active cases as 50.60 per cent of the patients have recovered so far
Of the 311 more deaths, 113 were from Maharashtra, followed by 57 in Delhi, 33 in Gujarat and 30 in Tamil Nadu.
There were 20 more fatalities in Uttar Pradesh, 12 in West Bengal and 10 in Rajasthan. Haryana and Telangana registered eight more coronavirus deaths each, followed by seven in Madhya Pradesh, three in Bihar.
Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Punjab and Uttarakhand reported two deaths each.
Of the total 9,195 deaths, Maharashtra tops the tally with 3,830 fatalities, followed 1,448 by Gujarat and 1,271 in Delhi.
The toll from the pandemic rose to 463 in West Bengal, 447 in Madhya Pradesh, 397 in Tamil Nadu and 385 in Uttar Pradesh. There have been 282 COVID-19 deaths in Rajasthan and 182 in Telangana.
The number of fatalities reached 82 in Andhra Pradesh, 81 in Karnataka, 78 in Haryana and 65 in Punjab. Jammu and Kashmir has reported 55 COVID-19 deaths, followed by 39 in Bihar, 23 in Uttarakhand and 19 in Kerala.
Odisha registered 10 deaths so far, followed by eight each in Jharkhand and Assam, and six each in Chhattisgarh and Himachal Pradesh.
Five people have succumbed to the contagion in Chandigarh, followed by two in Puducherry, and one each in Meghalaya, Tripura and Ladakh, the ministry said.
More than 70 per cent of the deaths have happened due to comorbidities

कांग्रेस नेता ने लॉकडाउन के चारों चरणों में कोरोना वायरस के मामलों में वृद्धि से जुड़ा एक ग्राफ भी शेयर किया।
स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के मुताबिक देश में कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण के एक दिन में सर्वाधिक 11,458 मामले सामने आने से शनिवार को संक्रमण के कुल मामले तीन लाख को पार कर गए वहीं संक्रमण से 386 लोगों की मौत होने से मृतक संख्या बढ़कर 8,884 हो गई है।

Delhi recorded 1,366 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, taking the tally to 31,309, while the death toll mounted to 905,
According to a health bulletin issued by the Delhi government’s health department, there are 18,543 active cases, while 11,861 patients have either recovered, been discharged or migrated.
No health bulletin was issued on Tuesday.

The senior management at AirAsia India had taken a pay cut of 20 per cent in April, while the wages of executives falling in other categories were reduced by 7-17 per cent.
However, employees getting a salary of Rs 50,000 per month or less were spared.
AirAsia India is a joint venture between Tatas and AirAsia (Investment) Ltd — will be completing six years of operations next week. It has a workforce of around 2,500 people. As many as 600 of them are pilots for its 30 Airbus A320 aircraft fleet.

The Haryana Roadways on Friday resumed bus services on select routes within the State, the first time since the lockdown was announced in March.
Haryana Chief Minister M L Khattar had announced on Wednesday that public transport will resume operation in the state on an “experimental basis” from Friday, with a limited number of buses plying on select routes.
The buses, which are not allowed to carry more than 30 passengers to maintain social distancing, are plying since morning on select routes
Initially, the buses will ply on 29 routes from ten depots of Ambala, Bhiwani, Hisar, Kaithal, Karnal, Narnaul, Panchkula, Rewari, Rohtak and Sirsa and run on select point-to-point routes.
There are 23 depots of the Roadways, which has a fleet of over 4,000 buses.
Online booking and wearing masks have been made a must for passengers boarding the Haryana Roadways buses.
From the Panchkula depot, the first bus left for Sirsa in the morning.
Thermal screening of passengers was done at bus terminals, their hands sanitised and it was ensured by the officials of the Haryana Roadways that passengers were wearing masks before boarding buses.
A government spokesman had said on Thursday that the buses will not operate in areas severely affected by COVID-19.

Five coronavirus patients from Jalandhar were discharged from hospital after recovering from the infection. So far, 157 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals in the state.
